I can see where it has it place but also seen it doesn't do much good anywhere but the parking lot and the trail. I'm revers less

I had a sled with reverse...I used it occasionally. My new sled doesn't have it, and I don't miss it.
If the hill is steep enough and hard packed I have reverse.

After several years of yankin' my back pulling sleds off of trailers, I got reverse on my 2000 700 RMK. Just a lever on the right side. My back said
"Thank you!" 08 D8 has reverse. Can't imagine NOT having it. I think this will eventually be standard equip like heated grips.

Works well for me too...If the hill is steep enough and hard packed I have reverse.
I have never until this year, But will not go back to not haven it, just backen out of the shoop instead of spinning it around on the cement . Used it once on the trail the guy in front of me was farther into some trees and couldnt get out so he had to spin his around i just hit revers and backded out. I love it makes things just a litte easyer.
If your really good and time it right you can use it to slow or even stop on wicked steep hills. We did it all the time on shop sleds but mine doesnt have it. Just have to be careful cause wrong timing will fry a belt really quick

Agreed. If you have to use it in any kind of unconsolidated snow, have someone stand on the front of the skis so the rear edge doesn't dig in and get you stuck. FWIW my 03 has PERC and I love having it, wouldn't want to be without it.
Reverse is like electric start, every pu$$y has one

This is my first year with reverse and I got it when I replaced the 440 motor. It's sweet being able to book it in reverse out of my little garage since theres no room to spin it around. So much better then screwing with dollies and rollers.
41 years riding, never had reverse.
