Who Has Mountain Addiction Gas Rack?

I have been looking for something for my IQ. I really like the Fabcraft system, but I dont think it will fit well on a stock tunnel.

Who has the Mountain Addiction system? Likes/Dislikes and how does it work? The pics on their website are kind of general, I dont see how everything really attaches..

thanks.. Justin

I like mine alot. Got it as a gift.....I would have a hard time dropping that kind of money on a couple of gas cans. Slide the cans on the rail and put the cotter pin in the rail (mine is missing in the picture.

Likes: Not having to mess with straps, bungees, etc. Easy install, drill 6 holes in the tunnel. Numerous holes in the rails so pick which holes work best, ie staying away from heat exchanger.

Dislikes: Cans are only 1.5 gallons a piece. Would be nice to carry a little more fuel. Cans fit tight which is good, but sometimes are hard to slide on and off the rail. Tried waterproof grease but still gets real sticky in cold conditions.

Looks like a good deal. I am just not sure how I am going to get it to work on my IQ now. Seems like the whole tunnel is cooler....

Yup, had 2 1.5's on my IQR conversion! worked great! just watch the cotter pins had one bend and the cans went flying but cans are well built no damage! Great product!

got one on an 06 summit. It works good but sometimes they come off a little tough. I just wish they came in 2 gal instead of 1.3. I can burn a lot of gas in a day. The 07 xrs has cooler underneath. I can't use it unless he comes up with something else. The main thing is it's simple and you won't lose a gas jug.

i had the same problem. You have to make sure not to over tighten the bolts that hold the mount to sled. The bolt head goes down to far into the plastic rail and stretches it making gas can harder to take off.
I used nylock nuts and do not over tighten them.

I have been throwing around the idea of purchasing this rack for my sled as well its just that the jugs are kind of small and to use there rack you have to buy there jugs after I already have a few nice ones of my own. But all the reviews I have read point in the direction of a high quality product. Those that carry ALOT of extra gas, do you premix these extra jugs or do you carry a small thing of oil as well to add into the reservor?

Hey all-wanted to let you know that we now have rails specifically designed to fit over the cooler of the Ski Doo XP, and into the T slots in the tunnel of the Polaris RMK/Dragon!

We also are now offering a "true red" color as well as all other colors

just ordered mine yesterday, talked to leslie. she was johnny on the spot responding to my email and was very helpful when i called to order them. sounds like i will have them by saturday. yeehaw!

I have the same set but have had issue with them staying on the rails. After the 1st year they started coming off and the pins were still in place. I have had to put a strap over the cans to keep them on. I do like them but you need to be careful when you get to the big bumps.
