Who has an XP with NO probelms?

How many of you have actually picked up your sled from the dealer and had it work correctly? I will allow adjustments to the clickers as working correctly. No repeat visits to the dealer. Your belt has to have lasted for more than 600 miles. Just trying to get a feel for how many of these are actually working without issues.

ummm

We got one in the group, only 310 miles tho........

Only removed the clutch guards & foam, thats it.

It'll be the one I'll riding Saturday, Wanna go to IP Toadly????????????

That was a good one Freak. I didn't start this thread to bash on BRP. Just want to see who is having good luck with these. I would like to know how widespread this issue is. If you ask the dealers, these sleds are the greatest things since sliced bread, but who believes the dealers?

If you have a good dealer they will typicaly have a better setup after they get some seat time. Most of the dealers had setups based on prototypes last fall but the production sleds are a little different. My XP ran well however after the dealer tweaked on the clutch and secondary it realy rips. (Xtreme Performance in Colorado)

I have 460 miles on the sled and the only thing i have done is replaced the choke lever due to a over-the-bars flight.

I am clearly no mechanic but the XP we were with acted as if it had crank bearing issues too. Not top end problems. The guys I know that have them LOVE to ride them, but complain of some things. Three XP owners I know who are Ski Doo loyalists, recommended that I not buy one this year. I am thinking of buying a new 07 holdover for cheap with a warranty. I know 07's have existing crank problems too but it costs a couple grand less. Then I have another guy wanting to build me a race chassis IQ and I like that chassis too.

I just want to ride a damned snowmobile and not worry about this crap...

Mine has been perfect. Other than me smashing a rock and tweaking the s-module and breaking my thumb, my dealers intial set-up has been primo. 8200 rpm every ride, every time. I only have 200 miles on 'er, but so far so good.

Skidoo salesmen are the most arrogant bunch of .........

Rotaxes have always spun higher than the rest. If you "unload" the track, the rev limiter will show up around 84-8500 rpm. ;)

I have never got a sled of any brand from any dealer that worked as well as it should. I have always had to play with jetting, clutching etc...and the XP is no different. With proper clutching (NOT stock egg cooker settup) the XP is very impressive.

That's a good point W.B. Just like my buddies M8. It is a good running sled. If he would give me 1/2 a day and $800, it would be a whole different animal. I don't think I have ever heard of so many motors going down in one year though. Every manufacturer's sled has its quirks.

No problems 500 miles. Even hand warmers work.

Clean my clutches every ride, check belt deflection. Zero belt issues.

This sled rips everywhere.

I think of my sleds like a dirtbike, they need attention every ride, even the new ones.
