That is a BIG part of the problem Freak!!! Chris Dodd, Barney Fwank, Nancy Paloser, Harry Butt Reid are the ones who sat an helped and watch the economic mess happen. ( Yes Bush did talk about it a few years ago but He too should have done more) BUT the LIB media makes the Avarage Dumb Voter think this was ALL THE REP's fault. Again the Media is NOT TELLING us the facts!! You really should have to take a test before you are aloud to vote that might clean things up if the only people that can Vote ACTULY know what the HE!! is going on. Term limites is another thing we need but the TEST before you vote would do the same thing I guess.

We did stand up for what was right and turned off the source of our misery. I have a little bit of a difficult time seeing how deleting the max thread and turning off rep is comparable to being liberal in national politics.

Oh wait...I think I'm seeing it. We give you this service for free and you all abuse it and destroy what was a good thing by being too lazy to follow all of the rules that are clearly stated. Then, when we try to correct the problem, there is just complaining and whining. Then, when a handful of people don't get their way, they go to the forum equivalent of the ACLU (Snow and Mud, or sledjunkies, or some other) to attempt to force our hand.

You're right. This is just a microcosm of the national political scene.

I will be so glad when this election is over. The bickering and mud slinging is getting really old, and then I get off the phone with my mother.

Personally I think that Barack Obama is not a good choice but you can think what you want. If he does get elected, I think that he will probably screw a lot of stuff up but that can be corrected in 4 years. If he does get elected I don't think he will get a second term, but then again slick Willy did. Lets have this election, shake hands afterwords and then get back to doing what we do best, brand bashing and parking lot posing.

Darrin I was not rippin on SW in that way, I like it here and did not cry when the Max thread got moved or deleted and even posted that the people that were mad need to calm down. The thing that bugged me and some others was there was no warning just gone, it seemed to us like a small group of people got there way and for what reason?? Same with the REP a small group got there way ...again... why because you guys did not want to hear it. Does that mean if a small group complains enough (more than the other group)we will get the Rep back or the thread moved back? See my point? Please don't take this as complaining because its not, I have always played by the rules and don't see how how any were broken in either case.

As for the comparison to the far left, Well it is a small group that is getting what they want too, look what sledders go thru because of a small group, that was my point thats all.

It doesn't matter one bit to me that the rep is gone, it really was more of a heart ache than anything. What does kinda get under my skin about this site is how there are very few (if any) warnings about pushing the line. What I mean by that is that all the sudden we got deleted, with no warning in the slightest, and very little explanation about what RULES WE WERE ACTUALLY BREAKING. I have no problem adjusting my posting habits if I am in the wrong, but I would appreciate knowing it ahead of time.

Quite frankly yes, we did move our main home to a new site, but the difference between "that" site and this one is that several of the moderators join in and chat with us from time to time and aren't afraid to let us know if something is getting out of hand. We have all adjusted our posting habits to the feel of that site, but the basic heart of the thread is the same, to chat about sledding and life in general, that has never changed, and never will change, it is in that respect the exact same as it was when we had it here.

I suppose what I am trying to say is that I can't figure out how exactly that thread was against the rules. A few posts were obviously over the line, but the whole idea of the thread was perfectly legal in every form required.

I still think that SnoWest is a very useful and informative site, and still post here almost every day, I'm just a little dissapointed in the form of justice around here. By no means is anyone perfect, nor is justice perfect, we live in an imperfect world, and that is just the way it is.

I think that no matter what you think of my post, everyone will agree with me on the following statement:

LET IT SNOW... SOON!!!
