Whitney Houston dead at 48

who else thinks the media coverage of this is just sickening. I mean really Who GAF another poor tortured soul celebrity died likely of her own doing. big deal. 7 billion on this planet! next

I don't know about "hate" MHA, just that some folks are tired of the coverage of a drug abusing celeb artist who made her own bed, now she lies in it. Meanwhile true heros die everyday and the only recognition that they get is page 4 in the local paper where they grew up.

When that freaky pedophile Micheal Jackson died, his death overshadowed Farrah Fawcett's death (dies the same day or week, I forget). And she was a major philanthropist in the fight against cancer in every way, shape and form. Cancer took her from this world. Yes, she got headline media coverage, for about 5 minutes. Jackson was a freak that spent his later years getting or trying to get into the pants of adolescent boys at his pretend fairy ranch. His death brought media coverage for weeks, TV specials, tributes and even a freaking movie.

Get the point??

If it makes you feel any better MJ gave a lot of money to a lot of organizations as well. Go educate yourself on the pedo charges on MJ and you'll find out that the father who was a dentist gave his child Truth Serum.

Here read up on Truth Serum:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth_drug

It is a hallucination drug.

Back to Whitney, she changed the music world, she had a great voice. Lots of people even soldier fall into addiction problems. How hard is it to understand that when someone famous dies, they will make headlines. They are not saying her life is worth anymore than anyone else. I'm also smart enough to not compare and contrast a celebrity to a soldier, apples to oranges.

Watch that and try and tell me it should be done any other way.

I hear what PJ is saying.

I am not without compassion, I just dont feel the spin these celebs get while setting a terrible example of abuse and then to be idolized and tributed to is a bit disgusting.

Well said.

But to quote Don Henley......"give us dirty laundry"

We condemn the media for feeding us what we tune in to.

To quote Don Henley "I saw a deadhead sticker on a cadillac" :face-icon-small-coo

As someone who has battled addiction, it's ammusing to listen to people sit on the sideline and spout there bullchit.
