The SnoMads club left Woods/Steele this morning for an overnight ride....Rumor is snow is thin that last mile or two, but get off to the side an UR OK.....We have a group of 30 heading out of Cle Elum for a weekend trip there.....Have fun..

You can go trails all the way, but it is about 70 miles that way.

We plan on playing along Manatash Ridge and Bald Mountain then taking an off trail "secret shortcut" to WJL.

sounds cool! how difficult is the "secret shortcut"? ya see, she likes to roll sleds on those hilly things lol!

The trails are in good shape most of the way from greenwater to WJL. Basically ice hill is still ice hill, but if she can do that and keep the bun in the oven, you are good to go!

Made it!

Greenwater parking is at the upper most gravel pit. the a mile or so of dirt and rocks with patchy snow.. Up on top was good slush. As far as the other side. we managed to find a new trail and stay off the asphalt. Getting really thin in spots.. Icicle hill was pretty slick but we all managed. Food was good as always. Beer was cold. Wonderful company!
