Whistler snow condition

Thinking of heading to Whistler after xmas are the snow conditions good? Anyone have any recommendations on where to stay? I would like to be close to a snow park. I will bring my own sleds so will need room to park with a trailer. Any advice or recommendations will be appreciated.

Where are you coming from? Squamish is much cheaper place to stay, there is a brand new Sandman hotel in Squamish that appears to be hungry for business. Sandman in general are really nice.

Lock up your stuff!!

There are a few distinct areas around there.

Depending on your vehicle, you might want to avoid some, I'll list them in order of ease of driving to:

1. Brandywine, north of squamish
2. Cougar mtn, north of whistler
3. Pemberton Ice cap
4. Brohm ridge, just north of squamish
5. Tricouni peak area

As a first timer to the area, I'd definately recommend bringing a buddy, this is big terrain with lots of hazards!

Looking for an easy ride

Looking to break in a couple new sleds. Will be first time ride for my son. Sounds like I better just pray for snow here. Thanks for your help

You still never said where here is.

Another option is the Coquihalla Riding area just north of Hope. It's more snow, less hazards, and easier access. The only thing it doesn't have is accomodations really close (40min away) in hope or Merritt.
