whips

anytime, well i gave it a try today and i can go up the drifts and get the sled facing the opposite way, i did a compleat one where i rode out the rest i kept landing on the side,would kept trying but i snapped an idler wheel

Sounds like your having fun just keep trying. It sounds like I would be able to do it better a 460LB sled rather than a barge.(Yammi Vector mountain) BTW these Yamahas are HEAVY!

yes,im most likly selling my M8,hate to do it but i ride it for an hour and its broke down,some times my fault like the idler wheel but it is having big belt issues and we know why,its got so much torqu it twists the motor under heavy load,probley getting a 09 assault,07 xrs,09snopro 600

Gettin a new sled hay, well I wouldn't get an 09 Assault they have BIG engine problems from what I've heard and the Walker Evans shock are supposed to be terrible, an 07 XRS would be sweet but you would need to put a clutch kit on it so it doesn't eat belts for lunch other than that I love the REV chassis, and the sno pro 600 well I haven't heard anything about them but Kirk Hibbert should know what he's doing. Have you looked into getting some bigger engine mounts so the motor doesn't twist under heavy load?

Is it impossible to whip it to the right?

nope :)

i dont think this guy is talking about jump whips like those showed off the jumps on the youtube vid. he is talking about sh!tty whips reffering to comming up a cornice and whipping a 180 and coming back inside im still trying to figure the move out as well seems a little angle helps

that is me, imagine yourself on the sled, you would be be whipping to the right.

since the cameraman was look at me from the front, it was his left, if he took the pic from behind, it would have been his right, make sense?

on those turnouts...re-entries..whatever you want to call em, the main thing is to get your sled airborne and inverted.. when i first started trying them i tried to get it to land on the tunnel standing vertical and then turnout.. it's much easier to get it inverted and land somewhat sideways then ride it out. and counter steer and yank on the bars the way you are coming in.

I had a MTN MAX before the vector MTN and it felt a bit lighter. My next sled will be a Phazer MTX on BOOST, that will be lighter and more fun. Keep doing those whips MtnMaxMod they're looking awsome!:beer;

thanks man, that phazer should be fun. hopefully you stuff at least a 15" wide track under it though..i bet it would trench so bad with 200 hp and a 14" wide track. outlaw motorsports built one a little while back...it was so sick.

It will be fun but it won't be for a couple years yet. Do you know if Outlaw motorsports got a 15" track under the Phazer because my brother will be driving a supercharged Phazer this year and I heard that they can only get a 14.25" track under it.

i believe so, not sure what all they did to get it under there, i know it had a van amburg tunnel though, that probably helped.
