Which turbo for Nytro xtx

Ok, thinking of turbo for new xtx and wondering which one id the best for low boost situations. No more than 8 pounds (probably) and I do not want to haul gas. Locally 89 octane with ethanol is the main source. However, many local stations have 91 or 92 available that would not be much of a pain to get. Because of the uncertainty of fuel supply, I would want to be able to turn the boost down very easily.

Also would like it to have stock sounding exhaust and be a non-invasive install. Oh yeah I would like it to have the turn-key reliability that the rest of the machine has. Anyone have any suggestions.

I thought it was going to be no problem until lakecr showed the guy who tried 87 octane and got in trouble. Am I asking too much?

I just answered your post on TY and added some comments to another thread. My advice is the same as above - call Dave (or us - 204.232.3733) to talk about a PL kit.
 
8 pounds ? why do you want to spend 7 gs for 200hp . if youre set on low boost look at north west turbos there quite a bit cheeper than most but only run low boost #s and boost is addictive lol :D
 
My opinion you will want a front mount ( alpine, or impulse) or go supercharger if your not after big hp. Cant beat throttle response.
 
Thought about the super, but all the horror stories about support and calibration problems has me concerned. I actually would prefer the super, but want something i don't have to fu ck with all the time just to ride. Also the pulley change incase of good gas availablilty, would be a pain. Seemed easier to just lower the boost on a turbo.

Will search web for Alpine or Impulse to see what they offer.

Thought about Ulmer's Aerocharger, but seems like the Aero is either a love or hate from reading the forumns.

You might check out ulmer performance aerocharger no head shim and no oil or cooler lines on the selfcontained turbo.
 
Re Turbo

I just did a powderlites stage 2 kit on nytro it works very well, with no lag and runs 10 Lbs to 14Lbs boost on pump gas 91octane at 4500 feet unbeliveable for rear mount very clean kit and works great and sounds nice.Go to www.powderlites.com or ph 250-836-4422 talk to Dave
 
Add to that customer service is great. Heck if Dave is at the drive through grabbing lunch he answers the call. Dedication is making him stand out and his high quality products make him the best choice in my opinion.
 
Which Turbo kit for FX XTX

If you go with Supercharger or a turbo kit without Head spacer no way to run on pump gas.
PowderLites can with Rapid bike 3 load up EFI box with 2 maps plus you can buy software that come with USB cable or get new Blue Bike and use your smart phone to change programs etc anytime.
We can make map1 for low boost low octane gas and switch it to higher boost and 92 octane gas for about 10 to 12 psi boost plus if you really want to mess up the guys in a drag race install stutter button and blow them away.
Ask guys like MOB who are runing against other turbo kits and shop around for quality with adjustible boost etc for all types of riding.

Ok???? if a two stroke turbo can run on pump I am 100% sure a 4stroke can just lower boost numbers.
 
It will run but dont you want it to run well. I ran my nytro without shim and cam timing up to 14lbs of boost on pump fuel with the help of water/meth injection and then we put shim in and cam timing as per Powder Lites instruction no comparison 12 lbs on shimmed motor out pulls hands down. The nytro turbo from Popwder Lites has no noticeable lag . If its there my butt cant feel it.
