Which snow bike kits is best bang for buck?

I am looking for a snow bike kit and was not aware there were so many options! I am familiar with FrozenMoto kit and have ridin one on a KTM 450 and had a blast! Timbersled makes a popular one and have also seen Moto Trax and Yeti( which is really top of the line but $$$$$) looking for feedback on anyone who has experience with any products and make recommendations. I'm going to install on a 05 KTM 450 exc!!! Thanks

Don't know went with the Mototrax because it seams it really has thought out many things that are an issue with the Timbersled... We will see.. I will be comparing this season... Mototrax enduro is cheaper... And better components than the raw... We will see about the track... But the designer swears.. What they use works better on their design.. They tried all the tracks..

Seems pretty hard to go wrong with the raw for the money. Moto trax is looking pretty sweet also for the same price range.

Buy a Timbersled. Best dealer support, tons of parts and accessories if you break something or want to upgrade because there are so many out there compared to ALL other brands. Polaris didn't buy it for millions because it sucks.

Its funny that this whole video is shot with a "Convex" type track with 2.5" lugs and you tell everyone that the 2" works better for mountain riding.

That is my biggest turn-off with this kit. Love my convex track

Hey thanks for pointing that out! That was one of our production tracks from last season. We did test out the 2.5" MAXTRAX last year and found that most of our demo riders preferred the 2" challenger paired with our pivoting MotoLink suspension so we offer that as our mountain option. However our kits do have the clearance to run the 2.5" track if you so desire.

Do they have clearance to run a 3" or 3.2"?

I would look at what companies (not dealers) are on here posting and answering questions. I would venture to say their CS would be pretty easy to use if needed, they are pro active here if you had a issue eve..and they are oveously passionate about this sport.

IMO, for the money, the best value is the Yeti! Top of the line materials, far more R&D than the others, excellent quality and craftsmanship and actually made and assembled on this continent. FWIW

If you go with one of the other / cheaper manufactures, be prepared to wrench on them instead of riding them, and be waiting for parts to come from third world countries.

You could not pay me enough, to own a Timbersled!

They suck now! Ever since Polaris took over support has really been terrible. multiple issues when ordering fit kits and replacement parts. Most of the Polaris dealers do not have any idea about these kits. I have had 2 Timbersled kits and have now moved on to another brand just for these exact reasons.

Best bang for your buck, without a doubt, is the TS RAW. If you have some extra cash floating around upgrade to a TSS and you got a sweet kit that goes everywhere for less.

Yeti makes a damn nice kit that is well engineered but it does have it's issues just like every kit out there. I don't see how if someone says "best bang for the buck" you can suggest something that is double the price when money is obviously a concern. I have yet to see someone on a Yeti go where a TS can't. Even if the price of the Yeti was exactly the same as the TS I'd still pick the TS in their current configurations. The new Yeti track and ski updates might change that opinion, but I don't bank on future promises, only on past and present riding comparisons.

I agree. Much preferred TS before Polaris. Being able to talk to the guys who make the kits, and the decisions, is a priority. Even more important is a company that will drop ship parts. After a '13 and '16 TS, my 2017 is a mototrax.

Cheapest doesn't always equal best bang for the buck. From the outside looking in the Moto-trax Enduro kit looks a little better to me. $350 lower price point with fit kits included, can ride it more like a bike down the trail, and at least has a rebuildable shock. RAW parts made in Taiwan, assembled in US. Moto-trax parts made in US and Canada, assembled in US. Moto-trax seems to be pretty good with customer service from what I've seen on here.

Curious how the Camso kit will do with it's similar price. Might be kinda heavy at 145lb but the skid is definitely unique.

Disclaimer: I currently have no snowbike and am not in the market. Just reporting my observations.
