we all have our jabs at which brand gets towed out the most, so here's a little contest. and let's make it current for this year or state which year and what happened to the sled. post up a pic of the dead sled being towed, and in the next week we'll see which brand had the most entries.:D

This one just pissed me off. Last year in the black hills, wanted to get a little time on my sled to see how everything was working (just put on new track and stuff), get about 15-20 miles from trailshead and was gonna try and climb a hill. Broke the damn throttle cable and about flew over the hood when it stopped. Tried for an hour to rig up some way to get it back and decided to just pull it. No rope along so we cut down a tree and used my belt and spare belt as a rope. It actually worked pretty good. So on the account of something as stupid as a throttle cable, here is one for yamaha.

we had one more day out there, so i rented this heap of crap. It was the biggest dog in the world, so here I am, looking as stupid as I can riding it. Even wore their open face rental helmet

In my expert opinion

I agree with ibdoo'n

The ones that can't make it back to the trailer under there own power.

I'll volunteer to get towed in if the snow sucks and I want to save the gas & oil for another ride:D

I had to pull a 440 polaris into town during our fun run and we also had to tow a 600 RMK to the road to load on the trailer during that same run.

Wouldn't a rope be easier then the belt and tree branch system. Very impressed with it though!!!

I had to pull a dead kitty cat out this year, blew two belts in one day...lets just say I think his allingment was a lil off...I still give him a hard time because the ol ski-doo had to tow him out:D

Didnt have a rope, and that was the best we could think of. Actually worked really good and that same belt is what I have ran on my sled all this year as well! lol

Haha, How quickly you forget Judd about the 08 XP's, he said sled not sleds....lol (and for the record I snapped a driveshaft jumpin and the other was an '04)

Less than 600 miles on our XP 800 and the sled has been towed out by my polaris once for wires rubbing and grounding out at 300 miles just after break in, and the other time the exhaust fell off, not even chittin'.

Here's the second time it was towed...
