I want to buy a mesh hood for my M1000 and just want some input on whats out there.

I know of two..........one is the skins airframe hood witch I don't have any experience with, but I know it looks good, you can mount gauges, it has velcro powder panels you can take on or off, there is a headlight kit available, and I believe it mounts to stock hinges. you can't run the stock intake. it comes apart so shipping is cheaper.
the other hood is the diamond s stealth hood, which I do have experience with, is extremely strong and durable (you can stand on it!) and has an intake track option to run your stock intake. I've seen this hood put through h$ll and back and it still looks great! down sides are that it doesn't mount on stock hinges, no gauge mount, or headlight package. but the airflow is second to none and it is very light.

Pictures of the Skinz hoods, you can also get a Skinz winshield for these hoods. The stock hood comes standard with black tear offs, colored tear offs are available seperately.

I picked up a Skinz hood at Haydays this year. They fit good, are light weight and seem to be pretty durable. I doubt if you could stand on it like stated above but for the money I paid for it $100 w/lights on it I couldn't pass up the deal. I can snap a picture of it on the sled if your interested (cameras not here now though).

I just put a skinz on my M. It fit good and finish I like the hinge option and the light mounting. But the DS hoods are very nice also.

I have a skinz hood, my uncle has a diamond s. In all honesty i would get whichever one you could get to your door for less money.
When you guys are running a mesh hood what did you do to the air intake? I just purchased an R&M hood and they come with a prefilter to put over nose intake hole? Just wondering what works and what doesnt?
