Turbo guys do it for the added space .. That stock headlight is a suitcase!
Remove it and turbo guys can run a nice cold air intake up behind the windshield, protected won't plug in deep pow.
Be nice to see if polaris could make the headlight small little bulbs like the aftermarket is doing... But I'm sure there's some legal reason it is he way it is.
