Want to do a headlight delete kit on my pro and put some lights behind the delete. I have done some searching and have found some guys using Rigid lights. Which model are guys using? As far as I know the light has to work on AC power. i can't find any lights that list ac voltage as there power supply. Some help would be great.

I'm using a LED light from cyclops that has 4 narrow beam leds and 2 wide angle leds works great but I have it mounted on the handle bars.

They don't have any pictures on the website that show it mounted to the helmet, but this flashlight is an ultra bright LED that mounts to your go pro mount on your helmet. Its small, super light weight, can be packed easy enough. I got tired of the cords and the weight on my head from lead dogs and other HID's. This flashlight is the ticket for those needing a light to get home or who enjoy night riding. Best thing about it is rechargable lithium batteries that last 3 hours on hi beam or days on low. 2 batteries will get you through any night and they take almost no space in your pack. No cords, no electrical hassle. Just slides into the go pro mount and away you go.

Those that mount lights to the handlebars, what happens the first time you countersteer at night? What are you going to see? :face-icon-small-sho

that light looks like a great product!

ive been a fan of the lead dog for years! makes night riding SO much better ... in fact you can ride at night like you can during the day with one. i'll have to try one of these out since i havent got the lead dog wired to the pro yet

Ridgid lights are the best ones that's what I'm using this year. Two sets one that's bright blue and one that is amber together they are amazing and shine further then the factory lights

What is the reason for getting rid of the headlight just to turn around and add more lights? Is there some kind of benefit from doing this?

This is a good point. I thought about doing the Skinz headlight delete for my Pro. I figured I'd loose a few pounds and it looks cool. But then I need to haul around a Lead or Cyclops light which means I really only save around 1.0-2.0 lbs. But it would still look cool. Probably cost around $300 before it was all said and done.

I want to do it more so because I love the looks. I really never ride at night. The only time I do is to ride down the trail at the end of the day. Don't like the looks of that moutain fit wit the lights built in. I like the thought of the rigid lights. Can I wire them right into my headlight harness and have them work no problem? Obviously not going to have high/low. I would like them to be off on low beam and turn on when switched to high beam.

I ordered a rigid led light from Mark at Cmx. For a little more money he even made a wire harness for me. One bolt to mount the light and plug the two ends of the wire harness in and it was finished.

Where are you mounting the light? Is it going to be a fixed mount or will you use the light just when you need it and keep it stored?

I've been using the Cyclops " Penetrator " light... the quality and performance is the best I've seen... even for some that "look" the same... but aren't.

.

I do find the whole headlight delete thing funny, sure save a pound or increase cooling or pretend the cooling is better. Then bolt a light on your head or bolt a light back on to replace the perfectly good one you took out.
