which is better 09 M10 le sp 162/ 10 HCR 153

Wyboy, my king has a 809 RKT rotax triple in it. So it's not a modded 900 twin. It takes a good running newer sled to touch it with triple, only thing that has is a turbo.

Sorry, but the hcr in no-base powder is not a very good sled compared to a stock m8 162. I've seen it. Hero snow it is awesome, that's what it's made for.
 
I still have to say that coming off the King you can't go wrong with either sled. They are both going to be very easy to ride compared to the KK. You will feel a lot better at the end of the day. I haven't ridden an HCR but I don't think I would like the wider ski stance. I like how narrow my M8 is. Really easy to lean over and boondock in the trees. Just my .02! :beer;

OK fair enough I will put some light on the subject. We ride Cooke City, and Island Park, sometimes we make it to Towgettee or to the Snowies. I am 6' and probably around 250 with all my gear on. My King Cat was basically stock. It has MBRP can, slp lightweight brake rotor, vforce reeds harder motor mounts and an added motor mount in the front and I shaved 10 thousandths off of the heads. So maybe just above stock and I love the way that sled worked. Pull Rope and ride. I used to do all the tinkering during the day and i dont want that anymore. Oh and the my riding stlye would be boondocking, i love ripping through the trees and riding in places that others wouldn't look at. Dont get me wrong i will put the mark on the hill but getting to the hill via boondocking is my preferred route. And when i was first asking the question i was basically just asking about thoughts on sled vs sled. We were in idaho in the beginning of jan and that was where i rode a buddies 09 dragon and then a 10 HCR and i like the taller seat and i sure felt like it was very nibble to toss back and forth. So that was were i got to thinking that maybe i should upgrade to a M. So that is why i have all the questions.
 
bottom line....the 2010 HCR will DESTROY a stock M1000....ALLLLLLL DAY long. i tell it as it is. i wanted a M1000 but was convinced other wise by people in the know (dealership mechanic) besides, if you do want to turbo...the M1000's dont work as well as the 8's.......


The M1000 works fine with a turbo , it just depends whos kit and who set it up . PoonBoggers might not know how to make the TM1 work , but i can tell you they work just fine if you buy the right kit.

I ride a race gas 162 8 and i just picked up an 09 162 SP M1 this year . A race gas 8 will get worked over buy a TM1 at pump gas boost levels. One ride on the stock M1 and i dont want to ride the 8 much , i cant wait to try the 09 at 14 lbs.
