Which cover?

For those of you that haul your pro on an open trailer and use a cover. Which do you like best? Pure polaris, skinz, or another? Half the time mine gets hauled on an open trailer just wanting to keep the salt and road grime off the sled.

skinz work well if you have any extra bags or anything odd on your sled, they are stretchy. If your sled doesnt have bags or accessories on it the polaris canvas covers work just great as long as they are tied properly.
-just my 2 cents

I had a generic Raider heavy canvas cover last year, it was shot 3/4 way thru the season. I bought a sno skins cover at an expo show and am very impressed by not only how well it fits but how quick and easy it is to install and remove. Well worth the money and as soon as I can afford it, I’ll buy another one for my wife’s sled.

I rode with someone yesterday who had a Polaris cover and he liked my cover better because it had had removeable snap clips that were less likely to freeze.

I also use the polaris cover (it's a canvas like material, there are two different ones). I have heard a lot about the skinz and may try one once my covers die. The skinz is pricey though.

Classic Accessories covers like the ones on Amazon are very tough and reasonably priced. They trailer well but have about 8 straps you have to cinch down. I've seen guys use these covers and they last for years even storing sleds outside all year with them.

does the polaris cover stay tight or do they like to come loose? will most likley end up with a polaris because i dont really feel like throwing down the cash on a skinz. just dont want it coming loose all the time and beating on the sled

Mine always stayed tight. I have them on both sleds and they have worked well.

I use a 2000 xc 700 sp cover on my 14 pro lol. It barely fits, but does cover my hood and controls which all im looking for. Cause the short seat it even covers my mountain addiction can/bag combo. I just need to scotch guard it for this year.

The Poo PREMIUM cover is the way to go. They are $230ish and made of a nylon type material not canvas. So when they get wet and freeze they don't become like a board. Also the whole inside front is lined with a very soft material so it doesn't scuff the plastic. Fits nice and tight!!!

I've got a polaris cover, not the premium though. First trip I used it on, it wind whipped the crap out of my sled. Rubbed through decals and put some rub marks in the panels.

I leave mine uncovered now and just wash it very well when I return, but almost always in an enclosed trailer now. I'd recommend looking at a skinz or something different.

Edit: however, I did use an IQ cover on my pro, and that could be part of the problem I guess. At the time, I was led to believe the cover was the same as the Pro one. No idea on that....

Canvas covers just stop the big stuff from getting through. I like my SnoSkinz.

The Polaris canvas cover is made to go over your bags. Mine fits with a Burandt bag on the tunnel. I asked for the better cover but they would have had to order it.

If you had to trailer a long way, I think the canvas one would be too loose. Works great when you only have 10-20 miles of driving, none of it highway.

?? I've trailered mine using the canvas cover for 900km ea way. Cinch the straps tight enough and it's flawless. Used it for 4 seasons now, still in great shape. Wash it off now and then at the car wash and it's treated me well !!

I have the Poo Premium, picked it up from a dealer, on sale during the summer, $150. It has a soft liner for the hood and reinforced in all the right spots. After 2 seasons it still looks new. It's been in a couple sloppy drives and kept the sled clean.
