Which Can for 2012 Polaris Pro?

Sorry if this has been covered or even beaten like a red headed step child, but which CAN is best for the 2012 Pro RMK? I tried the "search" function here on SW, but we all know that's about as big of joke as Obama's stimulus packages...

Anyone got any preferences, weight saving numbers, hp gain numbers to share?

I was origianlly going to get a HPS can, but I was told they are kind of on back order or something...

Any preferences are welcome, unless you are going to be a complete a$$...then just go stick your pecker in the jiffy jar and let Fido get after it:face-icon-small-ton

Thanks,
Ryan

HPS or Skinz I'd say. I've got the HPS, buddy has a Skinz Super Q. I think they are close in noise, but the HPS sounds deeper I think.

On the AAEN website, they are claiming their silencer will gain you 2 h.p. and lose 10 lbs. I find that hard to believe since the stock can weighs 11.4 lbs.....

Where can a guy buy the HPS can? Tried looking for his number in all the threads and cannot find it!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH

Not sure which search bar your using....I was trying the one in the upper right under private messages for months and it never worked....I was gettin pissed.....then I tried the one in the black bar (not sure why I didnt see it earlier:face-icon-small-con)....and it works great....also has an advanced search.....so as a premium member it should work fine for you.....if you've already tried all this then completely ignore everything I just said.

FYI- I just did a search on "hps" and there are over 50 threads this year alone.

I'll also recommend an HPS can....love mine.

Is there any noticeable performance gain, or are these cans being changed for weight reduction and enhanced sound only?

I am also trying to decide which can to go with but I want one thats loud I had the slp on my 08 and it sounds like stock.

I just wish we could get some back pressure tests on these cans to find out how they will affect the total system.

HPS

In my opinion the HPS is the way to go, the fit and finish are top notch, the skinz is a second choice for me, I was going to get a skinz just to be a little different than all my buddies but for one it does not fit as well, and it definately doesn't fit on a pro with electric start. I called skinz and talked with them, they designed their model without first seeing the pro with e-start. He said he would be re-designing the fit for this application but would take a bit. The other draw back to the skinz is they went to the oval design on the super Q just like the ultra Q, there is little to no room to adjust your chain without removing the can, not a big deal but kind of inconvenient. The skinz and HPS are similiar in sound but the skinz has a higher crack to it on the top, HPS is a deeper throatier sound.

With more and more riding areas being closed each year due to noise issues, do you really think it is wise to pick a silencer that is loud??? I'm not sure the "tree huggers" need any more arrows in their quiver....just a thought.

Cheers!

I don't think you can really go wrong between the HPS or Skinz but I went HPS.

Called Grand Lake...I think all of those were for his customers already...he is going to get back to me if he has one available yet for sale:)

$354 from HPS directly...those sure are spendy little units!!
