I am definitely going to stand by my previous post that skidoo reigns king in this area. When going home my family and I stopped at the rapid city scheels and i see a family ALL wearing rev-xp fleeces! I mean come on do you really need to buy a fleece to wear around to show off your ride? I got a polaris jacket too, but at least mine is only on when im riding

So-o-o-o-o-o that must mean you only wear underwear when you go to church ?????????????

If I understand this thread correctly, a poser is someone who "consciously" spends time and money to coordinate their attire and their sled to compliment each; based on some perceived visions of grandeur...

I guess that leaves me out completely because 1st, at my age, most would say I am not conscious anymore and second, most men know that after 30 years of marriage, you are only allowed to wear what your bride buys for you to replace the antiquated and beat up stuff you have worn out. Can't be held accountable for something you did not pick out in the first place.

I also now get away with walking out the door while my (grown) kids are saying "dad, you can not be serious"...

As far as stickers for the sled go, I am currently negotiating with Motrin, Viagra and Ambien (in no particular order) to see if they would sponsor my sledding endeavors. If so, I imagine they will want me to display their logos on my sled. Sounds only fair...

Last but not least, a "great" highmark for me is successfully loading my sleds on my dam tilt bed trailer at the end of the day without going off the other end. I always look around afterwards to see who might have been watching and then jump, I mean crawl, off the trailer "strutting" my bad self!

Enjoy it while you can. Safe riding and Happy New Years.

F**k 'in A Baby!:D:D:D

Perhaps a Poser is not the sled or the attire but the attitude of the rider or probably more important the group (I think we all know people who are very different when they ride with different folks).

But -- since I think this thread was started with fun in mind and being the proud current owner of 3 Cats, past owner of 2 Cats, 3 Yamahas, 2 Polaris, 1 Kawasaki and 2 Chapparels -- Arctic Cat wins this poll hands down. Who can forgot those coats in the early and mid 90's. Seriously Arctic Cat, how many neon colors and racing flags can a company put on one coat

I have friends in Iowa, where the whole family runs a Polaris shop. So they get a lot of free stuff and guess what kind of jackets that includes? You guessed it, Polaris. Sooooooo does that make the whole family posers, because they are wearing free jackets from polaris? Or should they go out and buy other jackets?

my idea of parking lot poser is someone who has the sled and gear and cant ride worth crap.

YAMAHA TURBO GUYS ARE THE WORST!!!

they think they can ride because the sled will climb anything then when it gets technical out theyre f-ed

That's pretty forward there....

Guess I'm a poser... I've got the sled and the gear, and I'm not a great rider.

So if I owned a bomber and had second hand gear, then I could call myself a sledneck?

Everyone has their niche, if yours is to shoot up steep and deep chutes, by all means...

So last year I bought all new polaris gear, mostley cuz i hurd it was warm and it is very warm in our south daktoa winters. This year I bought a new xp and sold the polaris. So since I ride a skidoo and wear polaris does that mean I am a poser? I just cant see why to buy new gear when I have almost $500 bucks into the polaris stuff and only a year old.

No that just means your a mudblood, with no home. :D

I'm actually glad to hear that.
So, my perceptions were kinda right don't you think. LOL. But I apologize to you and my defense is this place has enough thin skinned ,politically correct, whiny girly boys that sometimes its hard to tell. :present:
You have a nice day also, and hopefully a great season. I totally respect any lady who rides mountains and give you full marks. I have 2 daughters and a wife who come once in a while but aren't passionate about it, so good for you. :wine:

And you sir, are one of them.:beer;:beer;

Here is a pic of Slick at the Rodeo:
