Which 2-wheel rear axel is the one to buy?

Looking to buy a 2-wheel rear axel kit for my edge and wondering which one would be the best one to run with big wheels:

your edge 3 wheel axle has enough parts in it to make a 2 wheel axle, you just have to do a bit of trimming on the shaft and tube, then move stuff around a bit. It will adjust on the outside of the rails like factory.

Agreed. I don't know why people spend money on things like this, when they only take about an hour or two to make. Also, you can make them adjust on the inside of the rails as well, I think it just looks better is all.

takes more like 20 mins my friend, retardedly easy and no extra parts needed. Actually my iqr came from the factory with the rear 2 wheel set up the exact same way I did my rmk at home. If you need pics just ask

ok, here's one I had laying around

and here's one I am using on an extra lite skid

The one on the bench is a factory 2 wheel kit, the one installed is homemade...They are identical except the installed one has a couple nuts on the outside for spacers because the bolts were a tad long

Here's how you do it....
ok, remove your 3 wheel axle and disassemble it, place the 2 wheels you are going to use into the track where they need to ride.
Measure the distance in between the inner bearing surfaces of the wheels with them in place and cut the aluminum tube to that length.
Re-assemble the axle as shown in the first picture.
Cut the inner axle shaft (the one that is threaded) the same amount on both sides to shorten it enough that when it is installed on your rails it will come to about 1/16 of sticking out of the plastic adjuster blocks on either side.
Install and enjoy your free 2 wheel kit:)
Laugh at all your buddies that spent their hard earned money on something they could have done for free:beer;:D

Like Ill Named said, you can make it so the track tension adjusts from the inside by drilling out the rivets on the adjuster, flipping it to the inside of the rail then re-attaching it, and cutting the inner axle shaft shorter and re-tapping it. This eliminates the outer plastic blocks and looks cleaner, but I like having the adjuster on the outside, it makes it easier to get to. Also my way takes a fraction of the time.

Ya, I had the same thing.................

Until I lost 1 wheel, bent my rails, stabbed the track with the rear of the rails, exploded the chain case, and had to tow that b!tch off the mountain. Now I have 4 wheels. Wanna borrow one? I'll carry the extra couple of ounces that one wheel weighs. Cheap insurance. Good luck-00's

MMP makes a great product but has pretty bad customer service.

..I gotta say MMP as well..bought two kits from them and they are high quality .. . . not sure where the bad customer service came from though..my experience with them has been outstanding .. .... .maybe ya called on the saturday morning after new years eve or something .. .:beer;:beer;

I have MM on mine and honestly I would not do it again. They have a problem with the axel bolt coming loose and it must be checked all the time. Not sure about other brands but if you want to do a budgit one just buy the axel for the newer dragon (like 20 bux) and a couple end plastics you can convert it for cheap.
