Looking to head west in two weeks to kick off the season. Where's the best snow in Colorado. Open to going anywhere. Did Rabbit Ears get pounded with snow or am I hearing false reports. Looks to me like Wolf Creek has the most. Any info would be helpful.

The ears have taken a beating by the sun and traffic. Snow has settle quite a bit and the area is tracked up good. Still can find un-touched meadows but we could use some more snow. Trails are rough!

Spent last weekend at Grand Mesa, still some untouched fields of powder south of Mesa Top. Was about 3 feet of powder on a base out in the fields west of Grand Mesa Lodge, but was warm this week so it might have settled some Sunday and today.

I've ridden four days at Wolf Creek over the last two weekends. I rode there on 12/1 and the snow was really good and there were hardly any people there, still was plenty of powder to be had. Right now Wolf Creek probably has the best snow, but that will probably change after the storm that's supposed to hit up north tonight and tomorrow. WC usually wins though by the end of the season.

That's what I was thinking. Snotel went up 18" last night at Schofield (now reads 52"), and the CBAC just issued an avy warning.
The snow is still better at Wolf Creek, the ski area reported 19" yesterday-more than they got up north-at least according to Steamboat's snow report.
I don't know, Takes a little bit of snow to have rough trails.
