Where's the good riding?

We are seriously considering buying land in Wyoming and moving in the next couple of years. Where are some good places to ride? We don't want to end up 3 hours from the nearest good riding spot! And we want to stay away from Jackson - too many people and way too expensive! ;) Thanks in advance!

Ya know, not all Californians are libtards. Just like not all of California is sunny beaches. :face-icon-small-ton

Seriously - we need to move out of this state as soon as we can sell our house. Unfortunately I was born here and just never left. We are probably more redneck than you. I prefer to keep my guns, my diesels, and my rights, thank you ;)

Look at a map for areas around the three main riding areas, Togwotee (Wind River Mountains), Snowy Range, and Bighorn Range. There are other areas but those are the main. Lots of riding in the west of the state, around Alpine, Kemmerer,Pinedale and Evanston. Cody has good riding, but its about 2 hr drive. Casper is in the center, but there again a drive to the good stuff. Cheyenne is about 1.5hr to the Snowy Range, but a haul to the others.

Good Luck!

Living in Cheyenne can be a pain for driving to the Snowies. Casper might be a drive to any one area, but you are in the middle of many areas. Depends on what type of work your doing also.

I thought Wyoming was closed till further notice??
Seriously though, Colorado is much better riding and less of a culture shock.

Dude you must be stoned oh yeah now it's legal.
People in Colorado spend money/time to ride Wyoming not so much the other way around. Hear Utah is nice though but the beer SUCKS.
