Where's the 600 Clean Fire talk???

Well after researching this site and reading a lot of the threads on increasing your IQ and ect. I haven't found a lot of talk geared towards the 600's. I just bought my Beautiful Girl and brand spankin new 2010 600 RMK 144. I know a lot of stuff carries over from the 700's and 800's. Just curious of there's and little tweak's for the 600. Specific clutching and so forth. I already ordered 10-54 weights for the primary clutch.

I am awaiting an answer about the differences in the drive clutches between my dragon 800 and the 600 so I can swap the electric start over to the 600. I know spring's and weights are different I am talking the over all casting / case/ housing what ever you want to call it. Just wondering if they are different between the 6 and 8.

Just itchin' to get started on this one I am thinking better boards and some venting but a Beacon for her is way more important than those mods right now.

Let's hear from the 6 Hundo Crowd!!!!!

My carbed 600's get better mileage in all conditions over cfi.

Haven't owned one to do any mods to but will say I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed when I rented one. It was a 09 155" shift. Worked as well as my 08 D7. Actually better because the motor held up! You won't be disappointed unless you're into highmarking I guess.

I'm not sure if the lack of "talk" concerning the 6 on SW is the fact that there are so many more 8's running around here with the more hardcore sled enthusiast, wether they simply work so you don't hear all of the crying, or wether people just don't tinker with the 6. Probably all of the above to an extent.

First and foremost get her a BEACON and spend some serious time and energy in it's use but more importantly in how to keep from having to ever use it! If and only if you have some mulla left over then the Better Boards. Be certain to pm me when you get ready and I'll organize a GREAT repeat customer who desperately needs Better Boards to make his beautiful girl enjoy her new buggy MORE deal for you.

My list main on that sled....
>2010 version 0069B Better Boards (no better option on the planet!)
>144 CE track trimmed to 2.1 and inset screws
>Holz front end with Evol R's if you have the coin Zero Pro's if the budget
won't allow. The wider front with the 144 is a nice balanced buggy both in handling and in stability.
>Carl's clutch kit (helix, weights, and two springs)
>shock tower vents both sides
>remove all hood and engine compartment foam
>electric start
>eventually a Carl's 660 when she's ready for more snort or you want the funnest back-up sled on the planet.

Well i have been trying to start thread on the 600 HO..

But many are just happy how they run out of the box!!!

My list...

Hood Vent kit..
SLP Pipe
PC-V w/ Auto Tune
re Gear it 19/41
Fox Floats
Holtz Rear Skid Fox Floats
Avid Drivers
New 2" Track
Plugged Exh Valves
All foam under hood GONE
Reclutched new springs
Bar Riser 4 "

Come on Guys lets start a 600 ho Thread

I know I'm very happy with my 600. I have no complaints so I have nothing to post except joy. I would love to see a 600 thread started in here. I guess this is the beginning of it? :face-icon-small-hap

Been playing with my fathers 07 Switchy 600 CFI. Picked up a power commander 3 for it, but am having a hard time finding anyone with any maps for the 600 CFI. Put the SLP pipe and silencer on it, and it feels sluggish and looks very rich. Was going to try and hook up a a/f meter come fall. But I also just realized the compression is low on both cylinders so that is also probably throwing it off performance a bit. Going to go through the whole thing this summer, and also throw in a custom u-cooler so it wont build that block of snow and ice in it. Does seem to use alot of gas. My IQR 800 seems to burn less.

Well she will be using our roommates beacon for the rest of the season. He is done for the year (Has motorcycle fever BAD!) because the good Ol gen 2 steering post broke again :face-icon-small-sad. We have trained with them around the house quite a bit. Hell her 5 year old can locate the other beacon and make a box in the snow and a X marks the spot where to dig.

Yeah vent's are a definite but the better boards come first. It's matter of safety to me anyways. F-bomb I will PM you might be more towards summer gotta get it on the snow first! The clutching and stuff will come a little later right now just have to get the e start switched over. Riding it for the first time tomorrow to break it and her in. Might send her to ride with Burandt next weekend instead of me then she could teach me to ride!

Yeah it seem's more geared towards the 800's on here I know I have one. I also know for sure this forum has helped me and steered me towards buying certain parts that work and kept me from making some costly mistakes. I will just end up taking both sleds to Carl's this fall with a blank check (I wish LOL) and let Tommy and the boys in the Service Department have at em. Then we can see her family so it's a win win situation.

Oh yeah Back to the TECH! Righty Tighty Lefty Loosey!

I have the 09 600 rmk shift 144, Im broke but shocks and better boards are going to be installed by next winter. I have my eye on that 660 kit but ill probably wait one more season till the top end needs a refresher.

All the talk is at a pub with friends, discussing how you just destroyed all that snow on your way to the beer and hamburgers!
