Where ya from, How longs your season

season

only been sledding two years, but this year i started nov. 3 in revy with a 4 foot base, ended the end of may last year, only reason i stopped was i was too busy with work. People in my hometown (radium) were riding until the latter part of june.

I live in Invermere, go to school in Kamloops, so in between is Sicamous, Revy, and Golden, so I'm lucky i guess! Revy has a 17 foot base and apparently this is not a great snow year!

Apple Valley, MN (Suburb or Minneapolis metro area)

The season on good years will start mid December at the earliest and basically around Christmas most years and then last into March. This year we had a good late December into early January and then it dried up, we still had snow but nothing fresh till the end of February.

It was nice seeing the ground covered from late November all the way though about 2 weeks ago. That hasn't happened in years!

Two trips out west, one to Duluth, one to Michigan and that was the season for riding the sled, the other part of the season was 125 hours in the snocat for the club.

You can start riding roads around here early november usually....good riding starts mid-december. Fresh pow still falling daily this year and it's, well, april. Rode last year till may 30th and just stopped cause it was boating season! Safe to say you could ride till mid may every year, and end of june if you want to stretch it.

I get more months of sledding than I do boating, dirtbiking or mountain biking.

best snow weve had in years sw alberta /bc hopfully end of june love to see the looks on peoples faces when they see sleds on the trailer in may june pssst they think were crazy , they could be rite.

Crested Butte, Colorado.

Rode sleds Nov till Feb, took most of Feb and March off from riding(work/travel/etc)
.
I think I'll start again and ride Mid-April to August this year.

409" recorded at the ski area; possibly up to twice that much in the backcountry. We've had 38" in the last two weeks alone.

...that is, if we don't have a warm/quick mud season and the whole town washes downriver!

MD.

Houston BC Nov to May, could ride well into June if a guy did a little 4X4ing or made the 4 hr drive to Stewart. Usually put the sled away mid May and head for Prince Rupert on the coast were I guide all summer for salmon and halibut. Check it out www.northernbounty.ca
