where to take the families between christmas and new years?

Me and a friend are looking to take our families out west between Christmas and new years. Any recommendations for us?

we are looking for a place where he and i can ride, and the girls can go shopping or whatever girls do.

we also have kids coming with, so there needs to be stuff for them to do as well...

any ideas? thanks!

don't come to oregon hasn't snowed here since thanksgiving and doesn't look like it'll snow again until sometime next year!!!
