Where to stay to ride in rabbit ears

So hoping that there is good snow I am thinking about riding in rabbit ears from jan 2nd to the 8th. My question is, are their any lodges or cabins you can ride from or is it all trailering? Are these lodges in a town with dealerships and festivities (aka bars)? How has the snow been now and the last few years? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Rabbit ears is just a parking lot, Kremmling or Steam Boat for lodging

about a Hour drive I suppose

We've always stayed in Kremmling, it's about a 20 minute drive from what I remember. There's nowhere to stay on the hill. Steamboat likely has more festivities, but the lodging is more expensive.
