I'm moving up to Fairview, Ab, right after xmas and i'm wondering where is some good mtn riding nearby? Also any ideas on storing a sled? i am in college so i don;t got a place to store it and some of them storage places charge almost up to 100 bucks month which is not in my budget.

You'll want to check out the Kakwa(2hr from GP), Tumbler Ridge(2hrs from GP), and Pine Pass(powder king, beaver creek, hassler, etc, 3hrs away) from Fairview you'll be no more than 4 hrs from some of the best mountain riding that doesn't get a lot of traffic, you won't be disappointed.

is there a site where i can find a map to these places? they not really on my normal road map. also wat about accomodations for some of the areas listed? anyone have shop space for sled? storage units are pricey and if i'm lucky i could maybe afford around 50 bucks a month but would like to work out some sort of deal such as working to pay for storage space. Is there a snowmobile club or something so i can meet some new people to ride with?

ttt never been up in this area before and moving up in less than a month! and still don;t got any idea on where to put the sled

I would also say Tumbler Kalkwa or the pine pass, i spent a year in College up there great people around there, hopefully you can find someone on here who will store your sled and to ride with. The locals can be tough sometimes to college guys lol, when i was there they had the OPET course and to tell you the truth if you talk to the college they have a lot of storage and they may be able to store it for you, just a idea. What course are you taking?

i'm in fairview for the Caterpillar ThinkBig heavy equipment program. wat year were u there and wats opet? wat u mean by locals can be tough on college guys?

I was there probably six years ago took turfgrass equipment tech program, opet is the outdoor power equipment tech program (atv, sleds, ect...), as with any college in a small town that gets a couple thou or so people a year moving into their town there can be problems you will see, other than that they are great people in that area.
