Where to ride in April???

I have a wedding that i have to go to in denver easter weekend. I was going to haul the sleds with me to head up to centennial when the wedding was over to ride that week. I have never been there that late in the season, and I don't know what the temperatures and the snow is like??? Can anyone help me out on this? If it is not good in the snowies that time of year where is a good spot to go that late in the season? Any late season colorado spots? Just want to get some riding in while i'm already out that way.

Last year I rode into late June, some rode into July. Plenty of good spots in the CO Rockies yet that time of year. Vail Pass, Jones Pass, Winter Park, Grand Lake, Rabbit Ears, etc. just to name a few.

I will miss the Yammer/Rkymtnman annual "Spring Fling". Those where some of the best times on the hill! The SoCo crew will host now!!! I might show up just for the night life!

Yep, snow sucks in the spring and summer.

My prediction for this spring is.......................

BUNCHES of snow in April......just as all the ski resorts lease is up with the Nat. For., the snow shall fly.

That was terrible snow! Thank you for "roughing it" just to make a video of how bad riding in CO can be!

There's still good snow in april... Rode in teh snowies a lot last year, both these pics are from up there. My last ride was 31 May 08.

That looks awsome! I was there 3 weeks ago and the snow wasn't that great. I'm hoping for a lot of late april snow.
