Where to ride at Wolf Creek???

Hey guys my Uncle and I are in the process of buying 2 M1000's and we usually ride the Buena Vista area. By the time we get the sleds it might be pretty low snow so we were thinking Wolf Creek would be a good area to try. I looked on Colorado Sled City and could not really figure out where the areas were. Where do we park and where should we go. They are brand new sleds so we will need to break them in but we would like to test them a little. We usually like to ride big open meadows and like to climb a bit. Thanks for the info in advance.

Beaver Creek is going to be a great option for you. There's a groomed trail that leads to big wide open meadow after meadow. As you continue going up, you'll find tons of tree riding, everything from flatland tree riding to nasty tight technical steep tree riding. There are also many big bowls and places to climb. Just be very cautious of avy danger. If it looks like a slide area, don't test it! We've had warm temps and the wind has been moving quite a bit of snow around.

To access Beaver Creek, head out of South Fork towards Wolf Creek pass and turn left just outside of town. There's a big sign for Beaver Creek resivior. Take that road up to the resivior and there's a decent sized parking lot. You can get a map of the area done by our snowmobile club at the Arctic Cat dealership(Twin Pine Motorsports) that can really help you plan your route and know where you are.
