Where to get the best deal on Beacons etc?

I only go out west once a year so I am not looking for top of the line stuff. But I would like to have something. I have been talking to Snow Big Deal. Does anyone have any experience with them? I have also found some used ones from private parties, is this a bad idea? I need a beacon probe and pack. Any recommendations?
