OK so in the next day or two ill be at the stage of my build where I need to wire up my gauges and my oil pump, what are people stealing power from to do all this for? Is there an Aux plug kicking around somewhere like on the cats?

A lot of good posts on here about aux power on the pro. Pretty limited on what you can and can't do with the stock electrical system. Gunna take some time doing searches and reading.

But...... That's all inclusive with buying a older turbo kit. I would think the maker of the kit you bought would be the go to guys for your questions.

After the first start up I will as a celebration

Thanks yeah I should of looked into it a bit more, found out theres a plug up around the clutches, ill use that for my oil pump, not sure if I can safely tie into that for my gauges as well? Just Afr and boost light if I even hook up the boost light. There also another plug around the headlight apparently but I need to look into that one a bit more before I just and hook anything upto it!

OK, so I read all 9 pages of this thread http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=323154&highlight=Aux+power+polaris&page=1

Tons of good info but nobody answered if theres a simple QUICK way to get this done, im hoping to be riding this weekend, ill be powering my oil pump off of the ACC plug,im still confused on how to wire up my AFR and boost gauge light off of the sled without bringing in a battery like many people are talking about. There must be a very, very simple source of some power for those 2 small gauges that doesnt involve adding a bunch of stuff to the system?

there really is not a quick hookup. when i installed my turbo we used the dc power outlet by the tower. and it worked fine for a while but this hookup did take out the ecu. so don't use this unless you want to take a chance burning out the ecu. I ended up installing a electric start kit without the starter and put in a lithium battery and hooked every thing up to it, pump af gauges and A/A cooler fan motor. Has been working fine for 2 years now.

heres a link talking about the hookup.http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=380258&highlight=power

Not a huge fan of hearing that haha. Quick question, is the AC plug above the clutch the ACC plug that people are talking about? I havnt got the sled going but I didnt see a ACC plug kicking around?

Ok so I think im just going to do it right tomorrow, so I have a few questions I didnt see answers too, if I run off of the AC plug what current and voltage can I pull from it in itself? And what does a turbo oil pump draw TYPICALLY, and what does a AFR draw TYPICALLY

There is a acc in a pouch in the steering colum and there is one in the hood area tucked in the headlight area. Don't know what setup your running but I have the boondocker turbo. The oil pump draws 1 amp the a/f gauge draws 1.3 amps. Not sure how much the fan for the air to air cooler draws. Your at 2.3 and if you also have a heated visior this will add too it. Max the fuse will allow is 2 amps. I would burn this fuse out constantly before I put the electric start harness in with a small battery. There is also the dc plug down on the clutch tower but this is not fused and is dangerous to use cause this can destroy your ecu as this is where it is drawing power from. I know many turbo companies use this but it is not safe to use in my experience. Both a friend and I had to replace the ecu using this plug.

Just my opinion, but I am running a Kosso afr, led light in auto meter boost gauge, and garmin gps off the the accessory plug up by the headlight all on 2 amp in line fuse and haven't had any issues yet, this is on 16 axys
