so who has the best price on sled deck in edmonton?

i heard martin was selling them pretty cheap.

im just looking for a deck for now untill we pick up another trailer so quality isnt an issue, cheapness is :D

Found this on the garbage finder, it's a little unclear though, either an expensive ramp or a cheeeeap deck and ramp.

STF sled deck, 2 pce ramp only for 8' deck w super glides, exc shape $600. (Stony Plain)

ya its just the ramp for 600$

martin is selling their new ones for 3200
and they have a used one without retractable sides for 2250....

i found new ones out of town alumin retracable, no clamps or anything for 2200 and their denali decks

I called bob at lightwieght perf and his deck sounds really good their at 2700 new for a retractable and 2200 for non but all sold out right now of the none retractables.

comon people, gimme more people to call hahahah

there was a guy in the bargin finder a while ago selling decks for 2400 , that included 2 super claps . thats was with retractable sides too , i think he was from sylvin lake

decks

I bought a denali from Blackfaulds. about 2k for a 7 ft. retractable sides. for my dodge short box.

Good deal if you want to "mod" but has issues if you arent willing to do that.
Cons
1. needs to be turnbuckled as its a little higher than marathon and will sway if only bolted down
2. bolts /nuts are not regular threads, ended up swapping everything to canadian sizes. PITA. hard to remove all the original nuts/mounts that were rivited on.
3. superclamps eye hooks where not long enough to go thrugh original holes which are predrilled through plywood and deck frame. needed to redrill just through the wood and weld longer threads to the eye hokk. PITA .
4. holes for mounts did not line up correctly for the super clamps ( offset too much to the outside), had to redrill and cut out plywood so slides would work again. Also moved holes back.
5. when reversing the ramp for atv to sled mode...the hooks for the deck needed to be ground down and drilled a little bigger so the hook mounts would fit right
6. ramp slides for sled mode ( part that carbides go on) are not wide enough for simmons skis so still caches aluminum on the way up and also ski catch on the upper part of ramp so a mod will be needed. if no simmons skis dont worry.
7. I dont think wood is treated only painted.
8. slide buttons to make slides come in and out easier ...if you pull slides out too far by accident they catch and break off as they are only glued on. maybe my mistake by still a PITA. Not sure if the brand names are any different

Pros
A little higher so gas cans fit under deck better.
I wired in a light underneath and it was easy to tap into.
basically a marathon copy but i think made out of a little cheaper aluminum so heavier...dont quote me..just a thought.
If you arent running quick clamps or simmons skis not a bad deal

Overall cheaper price but not all "that". As for longevity time will tell. If I could have found a marathon deck for a few hundred bucks more i would have went that way..only in hindsight. I still saved over a grand.

my 2 cents hope it helps

found this one guy in town selling his steel deck for $700 and it looks ok.

im leaving this deck in bc and itll be loaded everytime i drive out their, so i dont need anything fancy.
