This is an aerial I shot the other day(Sat) from the north to the south. Hard to shoot as it's into the sun too. Hope the people that care enjoy it! And for the peeps that don't know, this is the north side of Boulder Mountain snowmobile area. The other side has been done and is on all the brochures put out by the club. This does not show the front half on the left which would show Boulder Mountain and the cabin area.

Hi Ron, You know it's pretty hard to keep up to the excellent quality that you always post, so I had to do something different this time.:face-icon-small-hap

Awesome! Thanks! So in that first picture below what you have labled "the lakes" there is a really big chute. Has that been climbed?

Dusty, (aka, Papa Veedy), ...you are too kind, ..I am a humble amatuer that gets lucky with a good pic out of every twenty, and that is mostly due to the great Nikon, ..and the great action. Your pics are always on a higher level!!!!!

Speaking of higher levels, I can only imagine what a wonderful day that you would have witnessed from the skies on this particular sunny day. What elevation range are you cruising at when you fly around this area? What model plane? Any BOOST??

Cheers

Ron

X-rated,

..there are a couple of chutes on the western face of the upper reachs of this drainage, one is frequently climbed, it is called the "Lake Chute", there are a couple other lines further up (south), but they are currently requiring some more snow for a safe climb.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for that! I wish I could get out more but about the plane.....I cruise at any altitude I want but for the shots I believe it was around 8000-9000ft. I was in my homebuilt RV-6 which I finished in my garage in 1995. It's 180hp and cruise is 180-200mph and is mildly aerobatic. No Boost though I did start on another kit a while back which would have had the same engine with Boost but sold it due to financing problems. It would have been another 120000 to finish it but it had a top speed of 260mph at altitude. The day I took the above shots, I covered the ski hill, Mt.Begbie, Boulder, Two-moon, Turtle, Sale and Keystone areas plus a little of here and there in just under 1 hour of flying time. Oh, and I forgot........it was FUN!
