Our snow in Lake Tahoe, California has gone hard.

I am an admitted snow snob... 33 days so far, 1200+ miles this season almost exclusively on pow days. I'd rather stay home than ride setup snow.

BUT

I am willing to drive to Idaho, Utah, Washington, or?? in search of pow. Who has the goods or sees pow on the horizon?? We are looking at sun for the next ten days!!!!

Rant over.

Season started off huge, and now I havent ridden in 4 weeks. Looks like another 10 days before any weather change.
12 hrs east is getting pounded thru next wed.

I live in woodland washington and am sooooooooooooo mad at the weather we are getting over here,so i have a friend that lives in montana and we went there for last weekends ride and it ended up a lot better than here.In fact it snowed like crazey sunday and was pretty clear monday when we left,it was hard to leave.Sounds like bc is getting snow.

Who would have thunk it. Go to Dallas to snowmobile!

Did you see on the news they had an avalanche in Dallas that injured several people, 1 seriously? Showed the snow sliding off the dome of the stadium, fell 300 feet falling on several of the workers there

Looks like West Yellowstone has some cold temps and snow for the next few days.

Where are you guys looking for forecasts of elevations where you actually ride at? In Tahoe, I use NOAA and click on maps if where we ride and it shows elevation.

Thinking of swapping track and drivers and seeing if I can find a co pilot/ navigator for Tuesday through Friday or Saturday.

I too am a snow snob, skiing is bad in Tahoe, sledding sucks. It looks like the pattern will break somewhere around 14th, but I would bet on it being at least 2-3 days after that, seems like always slows down a little.

I had someone at Squaw tell me yesterday that they love the sun. I about gagged.

The Central Idaho mountain got rained on two weeks ago and then it got cold. We really need a couple good storms to get back in business.

When the snow does come the avalanche potential is going to be extremely high.

Pray for snow!!!!

Colorado, pretty good everywhere in the state with really good zones, been getting fresh every 3-4 days and temps to keep it soft. Already have our season average in Breck with 3+ months to go!

CO

Yep, gotta second Central Colorado, it was huge today, and we've been getting regular accumulation this winter. I got high centered on a rock on a climb today that usually is visible for another month. Oops!

We havent had any snow for a couple weeks in northern utah, i hope its still winter:face-icon-small-sad
