baker road was awful on saturday, and low and behold WORSE tuesday.
what the story, is the guy on strike??????i think ill be peeing blood for the week

The groomer is back online tommorrow morning for sure. The snow is in great shape with good base and he's planning on spending a bit of time getting it all dialed in for the long haul.

The current groomer operator is the best we've had in year's and we are really glad to have him. He goes the extra mile more often than not and does'nt even need to be asked.

If you see him, say hi or just give him a wave.

He does it because he loves snowmobiling not cause he has to and it's much appreciated.

I'll second what AJ said and add to that fact that he had to walk out 5 miles the other night due to a bad hydraulic line. I hear ya on the bad trail but luckily he'll be back in business this week.

Those bumps were insane, one bump every 4 feet times how many miles?
I stand up and ride fast, but man what a workout. I really appreciate the groomer, last time I came up behind him he stopped to let us pass, So he
is a good guy. Glad to hear he's back from his vacation.

Those bumps at baker today made me feel like I was back in Alaska. :D

The rode to Baker today has nothing on what the boys in AK see. Whoops were maybe 12" deep at best. Ride the rode to Hatchers or Petersville in Ak and expect 36" whoops on a good day........ I dont ever remember seeing a groomer in my 10 years of riding in the last frontier.

If the bumps are to big stay home with the women.. Maybe this is your first year i have been riding baker for years this new groomer guy is AWESOME compared to the old groomer guy. Baker is a high traffic area and it get torn up fast.

Have you ever raced the the mayors cup, its 200 miles off that crap the only groomers in alaska are in the caribou hills that ive seen. compared to the other trails ive rode this week in washington that was the worst. Thanks to my ezryde it wasnt as bad as some of the others I seen there.

you must be the man MR. BAKER SLEDER.well ive been ridding baker pretty much every weekend there is snow for about 6 yrs now. maybee you should stay at home w/ the women. what a jerk!!!

on a side note, ill admit and have praisesd in the past, the groomer that took over last year and since is 100 times better. i was just stating the road up needs it bad....

by the way MR. BAKER, where is my thanks for building YOU the bridge????
or do you not go past the meadows????

The groomer is doing a great job. Last year was his first year and we had terrible coverage. This year is off the hook and the polar opposite. I did notice that he banked the corners at the switch backs..way cool when you are tired on the way down.

Compared to the job in the past we are not even on the same playing field.

Coming on here and *****ing is pretty lame.

the groomer was up last thursday, but took the holiday weekend off like most everyone else did, he will be up again today, Wednesday, he tries to do the best job he can but with all the fresh snow it is impossible to keep up, last week he went on Christmas day, broke a hose, had to walk out 5 miles, got home at 4 am, got back up at 7 am to get parts to fix, repaired groomer and groomed way out, spent Thurs morning finishing repairs and went back to baker thursday, so no one can say he isn't trying

I think he is working hard and doing a fine job. Besides, if you don't like the bumps do what I do and ride with one ski on the wall the whole way. Smooth as silk.:)

It was the same way on Stampede Monday - Endless washboards and road after road with big snow drifts. I haven't been sledding in a few years, and I can tell you that my first couple rides in Washington showed me that the extra money we started paying a few years back for "Increased Grooming" has, as far as I can tell, gone somewhere else.
