Where is the cheapest place for gear?

I need just about everything, I am looking for a place that will let me send something back if it doesnt fit and exchange for another size

Decide what kind of riding you want to do and then go try on some gear at a local dealer for sizing. This time of year things are probably priced at their highest in the dealers (buy local when posible). Klim jackets, pants and boots are great. Must try them on! Goggles that you can change the lens depending on conditions. You probably know all this. If you really want to save $$s you have to do the leg work. Again, know your size in the specific brand BEFORE you click "buy now"

Good luck

Go to a dealer that sells what you are after and try stuff on. That way you will know what size you need then find someone on here that sells it and purchase from them. Two benifits to this...
1. Probably a better price than the dealer.
2. Your money is going to support a fellow sledders habit.

I am in Colorado Springs and I dont theink there is a snowmobile dealer within 100 miles, that part of the problem.

We do almost all of our shopping on Catdeals. Last years clothes at half the price. With three kids it saves abunch. I don't know if the other brands have these outlets though.

sometimes, if no one supports the local guy......(i.e. skips him to save a couple bucks online, etc...) there is no local guys.

c springs is certainly within 100 miles of denver.....there are dealers in and around c. springs and plenty in denver

Best place to go try on for sizing is at Extreme Performance in Castle Rock. Then get on here and purchase from gcmci

If you buy KLIM you don't have to worry about who has the best deal. They are all the same price! Good clothes, good warrenty and no price competion.

You can't all be THAT cheap...

Agreed. I have no problem supporting anyone that gives good service. But it's pretty short sighted to use and abuse your local store and ship your money somewhere else.

Your local store ain't going to be local if you don't support them (and yes, they need to earn and keep your support too). And then where will you be when you need 'it' right NOW? Can't always have it both ways.

I always get a kick out of the threads that start with "where can I get so and so for the cheapest price".

And then they turn around and gripe about customer service.... Think about it.

I have a better idea, don't be an arse and waste your local dealers time like that. If your going in to the store that they provide for you at least be courteous enough to purchase from them. Then when you need some real help they will still be in business to help you out. They can even help out when the local greenies are trying to shut everything down so you can't ride anyway. The internet store that is located 10 states away isn't gonna be of much use then.

You guys crack me up..... Dealers are in business for a reason, TO MAKE MONEY.... Doesn't mean i have to spend every fuggin dime there...... Whose time are you wasting to go look at / try stuff on.... I have been in extreme on more than one occasion and not once did someone ask if I needed help.... Not a bad thing, I was just browsing, killing some time.

Maybe retail locations would not lose business if they were comparably priced! Why pay 50-100 more for the same fuggin coat????

JMO, now flame away:confused:

Motofrugals 1-801-224-5073 Adrenaline Hardware 1-801-456-1977 I have bought 99% of my gear from one or the other They both have web sites and both owners ride! They know the bizz.

now boys.......play nice;)
far as i know, there is not a lot of price differential from dealer to dealer. not trying to cut anyone out here on the 4m, nor am i in sales for extreme or anyone else. however i do live in the mountains and know that the local dealers, etc.... work their arse's off and ain't living in the 15,000 s.f. palace. value is definitely a consideration, unless you are daddy warbucks. however, most times in the long run "cheapest" shopping may cost you more. had someone i new that wanted a new atv. worked with the local dealer i know to get a good price. he found it for 200.00 less on the internet. picked it up in TN, on his way moving from GA to CO. got it to town.....all braggin about his new fuel injected atv. how much better deal he got.....blah, blah, blah. went to start it up....... no worky. bad fuel pump (it is inside the tank) pulled it into my trailer and brought it to the local dealer.........let him go in and decide if he wanted his crow blackened or grilled:D dealer fixed him up right away, no grief. as is often the case with warranty stuff......took him more time to do the repair than warranty paid. good customers get good will, it is a currency that comes in handy.

Amen. Thats why I don't mind spending a few bucks more to get stuff from the local guys. But when they want to overcharge, thats when my business goes somewhere else.
