Where is the 1200 XP 154 or 163?

Is ski-doo coming out with a 1200 4tec mountain sled or what? All I hear are rumors but why do you think they did not come out with it in 2010?

Also what is up with no 800 etec either?

what is the major diff in chassis between the mxz 1200 and summit chassis ? i know longer track tunnel but what else ?

Definately no 1200 Summit this season. In any length. The XR chassis is wider to accept the 4-stroke motors. Similar to the Rev vs RT chassis'

Doo had pictures of a 1200 summit on their website mixed in with the rest of the sled pictures, but they were taken down pretty quickly.

They pulled it at the last minute because they said they didnt feel they had it truely ready for the public in the mountain segment.

Could it be possible that maybe the boost was not ready or a higher Hp motor mapping or testing. They have the 1200 with 130 hp figured out ask Big John. He claims it ran well, Of course he clutched it but he clutches the 800 and 600 too. I am just surprised that there are not more aftermarket turbo's emerging for the 1200. I would guess that the big aftermarket company's know what is going to happen so they are not going to spend dollars to develop a kit and will just spend there time making a doo stock kit better. Doo Hijacker? Haha maybe just wishful thinking on my part. I am sold if that happens yet this year. I thought I would never buy a new sled, but if that happened I would surely and keep driving my 200000 mile chevy and forget about that used duramax I don't need.

I guess they found out they need another clutch. TRA4 will not work with a 154 track. With boost you will have a bomb with a lighted fuse next to your left foot.

Well if it comes out, I want one. Even if it is heavier and has less power I would still like to try it out. If I need more than a turbo would be on order.

A guy in a group I rode with had the mxz 1200 and that thing was quiet as a sewing machine.

yes they tried 1200 in 154 thing was a turd w/o turbo. maybe next year more h.p or turbo.

Maybe if the manufactures all had a heavy 4 stroke the could have a slug fest to see who is the heaviest.

Why are people still talking like this is speculation? There was never going to be a factory boosted option, I think some are confused. There also isnt going to be a new brochure released to announce it. Dealers all just attended the big dealer meeting where they order the sleds for the coming season, if it wasnt an option then it wont be until atleast 2011.

Seen one of these at Chad's shop last week(CR Racing) in Kelowna. Had the CR 163 tunnel w/mcx turbo said it seemed to work good other than the primary had issues

I heard this as well but find it hard to believe... It the past few years BRP has had no problem flogging their $hit that not ready to the public so we can troubleshoot for them.
