When I was growing up we used to go Bills Island at Island Park to my family cabin every year for christmas and come home new years. When your in the ages from 14-21 it was awsome to know for christmas break i was going to ride my heart out in one of the best snowmobile area. I used to set goals on how many miles I would ride that week and found secrete play areas through out the years.
The problem is everyone else who has a cabin near by would get upset, yell and come over talk to my parents saying the sleds were too loud didnt want us riding past 8PM on the lake and said we were riding through the trees to fast.
It was worse then being at home and riding so now we just ride from my parents house christmas nigiht and have a nice little ride through the foothills. I want to start taking my son up to the cabin now and let him go rip his snoscoot and watch history repeat it self.
We'll be at our place in the Snowy Range - we have done that for the last 5-6 years. We usually shoot off some fireworks for New Years and burn our slash pile from the summer. Looking forward to it!
