Where is auxillary Power on '07 M8--Different set up than my M7

Looking for place to power my digitron on my '07 M8. My M7 had auxillary plug but I didn't see one below handlebar riser on my M8. Any suggestions??

The auxiliary plug is plugged into a dead-end cover for protection from the elements. It should be sticking out behind the left side of the aluminum steering brace hoop.

If you don't see it there, remove the three Torx screws from the aluminum close-out panel and you should be able to find it.

There is one located behind the steering post cover...the triangle piece of aluminum behind the pipe. On my M-1000 this was a two wire plug with a black rubber cap on it. Ground/DC

Mine only measured 2.7 volts from that plug on a 07 m1000
and the yellow wire from the stator ( in velcro wrap) measured the same:confused:

So I tapped into the fuel pump hot lead and get 16.7 volts....is this a good source..some say we need rectrified power, and to come off the chassis control module.....

My Digatron only blinks and is giving me fits:mad:

'07+ sleds have DC systems and the plug at the steering post on my '08 puts out a nice clean steady 14 VDC at idle.

Just went and took a photo worth a thousand words...:)

Can I use this to power to run my fuel air gauge from D and D?
Boondocker told me I would have to put a battery on my 05 M7.
Am I understanding correctly that the 07and later are DC and my 05 is AC?
