Where do you draw the line.

Further irony is found in the greenie camp itself. I have had rangers complain to me how much trash they have to haul out of the Wilderness areas every summer. Obviously this isn't motorized users but hikers walking in, setting up camp and leaving garbage. I would love to get some documentation to use against those bozos!

It is just funny how we get blamed for sooooo much that we just do not do. Most sledders I know are much better stewards of the land than the quiet users. Lets keep it up!

Whats so hard about putting your sandwich wrapper back in your seat where you got it out?

Whats so hard about putting your Red Bull cans back in your back pack?

Whats so hard about putting your cigarette butts back in your case?

...

We found a cobra low profile windshield off an Edge one trip way back in trees..I ran it over (thats how we found it) It has been there for a couple weeks..so we packed it out... and i think we gave it to a Sled Salvage. Whats so hard about taking your sled crap with you?? we just rolled it in half and bungee cord it to a rear of a sled. Not hard at all!

If it's biodegradeable or a foodstuff, ok. Anything goes out with you. Get this, last week while in CO we rode over by Leadville. Pulled in a parked next to some backcountry skiiers. After they had left I picked up pop cans, plastic wrappers and other chit that they left. Guess who would have gotten blamed?

Don't get it.

I don't personally understand why you need that stuff with you i guess. I carry a bottle of water with me and that's usually it. ride all morning, go to truck for a sandwich. Ride the rest of the day. nothing to pack in or out. Just a half drank bottle of water when i get to the truck for the ride home. If you need McGriddles and all that Sh*t. Find a new hobby i say. A bar to hold you over is one thing, all the other junk is useless to me.

smokes are probably the worst! they just think its there right to smoke and throw it on the ground when there done!!! ever gone to a hillclimb spot in the summer? its sick to see how many butts there are on the ground.

While riding in alpine in the grays river area we ran into some guys we knew and ended up riding with them. When we were going to head back to the truck, they said they were going to stay and light a fire to cook some food they brought. The next morning we left without them and found their fire pit. They had lit an entire tree on fire and left at least a dozen beer cans and empty water and gatorade bottles. We cleaned up the area and continued to ride. Had we ran into them they would have gotten an ear full for sure. Sad thing is one was a fireman. For some reason I hold firemen and cops to a higher standard. Nedless to say we won't be riding with those azzholes again

Sounds like I have ridden with the same azzhat's. We had to dig in the snow to find some of there schmitt. If you litter you don't ride with me or my peep's ever again!

ABSOLUTELY if you can bring it in you can bring it out PERIOD. I can understand missing a couple small parts from a bad wreck but the wrappers, cans, bottles, belts, windshields, and all the other crap people leave in the back country, back roads, and along trails is BS and doesn't fly around me.

Agreed.....I smoke and ALWAYS pack my butts out in a zip-loc. The world is NOT anyone's personal ashtray! Pizzes me off to see people flippin' their butts and trash anywhere....period!

Ditto here. I kept a ziplock in my windshield bag and put EVERY butt in there. In my car, I keep a half empty water bottle in my there as a liquid ashtray as I refuse to throw them out the window too. Only once did I mistake it for my actual water bottle.

What kills me is during the summer when we go camping, get to our favorite spot and someone before us has used glass bottles for target pratice. We have filled 3-30 gallon trash bags from just one camp area. If we can burn it we do, if not out it goes.

trash

I always drop my wrappers or whatever right where I'm standing......mice and birds usually pick up this stuff for use in their nests.....and no one ever gets back to where I ride once the snow melts anyway.... don't really see how a harmless piece of paper laying on the ground is such a big deal....by the time I'm back up there it's all covered with snow and you can't even find any of it......are you guys all boy scouts or something? bty trash makes a great trail marker

I hope this comment is a joke.

I don't understand why guys would drop their trash, I am guilty of leaving an banana peel and used sh!t tickets once in a awhile. It seems like every other time i go i have a trunk full of gargbage.

hopefully some guys will change reading this thread or have enough of their buddies beat in to their brains to pack your crap out.

Right there with you guys on this one! Unless it's a tiny burnt scrap of one of my hot pockets, it gets packed out. No exceptions!

Good thread, glad to hear that we're all on the same page :beer;
