Where do I find a sled scale? I see pics on here of guys lifting a sled by the bars with a cherry picker(engine lift) and there is a little box with a hook on it that shows the weight of the sled or whatever is hanging from it. Anyone know where to get one or even what they are called so I can track one down. Want to get some weights of my new sleds coming as shipped and also after I mod them.
Thanks.

You can use a simple game scale, found at sporting goods stores or ebay, just make sure they are for big game, they come in 330, 440, 550, etc. increments normally.

Don't overlook your local truck scales, mine lets me ride mine across for free, accurate within ten pounds.

RTR on 4S turbos is going to be around 600-630 and I have 2 of those in my future. Are the game scales digital and do they go up that high?

There are dial or digital, have seen 8-1200 lb scales for moose, elk

I just googled "digital hanging scale", quickly found a 660 and an 1100 digital for under $100

scales

I races modified circle track for several years and had to scale our car every week. When I sold my car I scaled my sled a few times, then I sold my scales.

Go buy 3 cheap bathroom room scales at Walmart and put one under each ski and one under the track, add up the weight, this will get you a close sled weight. I was using bathroom scales way back in 1997 on my ZR580.

You will be surprised at the difference between the two ski weight, ideally they should be the same weight, they are not even close. I know some of the pro teams work on getting these close to the same but I could never figure it out.

X2 Should be able to score three scales for under $50. I'm not a fan of supporting Wallyworld and their lack of American ethics. I've had aset of three for tuning purposes on my sleds for twenty plus years. Be aware that ski scales will be side loaded when you put the sled on them. To verify a accurate weight lift one side at a time from the spindle so that the sleds weight is still on the suspension and reset it on the scale, it should be repeatable within a pound or two.
