I'm in, ...looks like YAMA Fest is going to be the BIG SHOW to see for this season, the snow is getting deep, ...now if the weather co-operates, and it will..... April !!!!

As NM stated above, ..same fast sleds, ..same great riders ......same great mountain.. bunch more snow..

too bad that the sleds are not what the mtn guys really need. Nice to see some minor improvements(Finally a 162 on the nytro) but for the price not very competitive with the others. It would be nice to see Yamaha come with a factory turbo even if it is only 6 lbs boost. That would make the heavier sled more like a mtn sled should be. If you can't shave a whack of weight off(like we ALL do when modding the sled,which btw costs thousands of $$$$) from the factory then at least they should up the power part. I think with the reliability of the 2 stoke turbos coming on so strong, yamaha is going to be the loser, at least in the mtn segment...look at crazy canadian(just one in a long lineup of those moving away from the weight and $$$factor to build a competitive sled) I have been a yami fan,since 1984 when I bought the phazer, but when I look back at the crazy amount of money spent every year for every sled I bought since,(I bought the 87,89,91,93,97,98, 00,03,08)to make the sled Yamaha should put out from the factory,it is really silly. Unless Yami builds something different than a middle of the road sled with the only saving grace being reliability, when I buy another sled it will be something else. Judging from some others looking to trade the T-nytros for a D-8 or M-8, I am not alone.It would be GREAT if Yamaha would wake up and build a real sled to compete...Another thing is you do not get your money back out when you sell Putting in $35-37 gs and look at what they are going for 1 year later a very poor investment. One of the only reasons I have stayed with yami is Randy Swenson and the dealer where I live but enough is enough.........02

So tell me, is 2 stroke turbo going to be able to take a poke at some of those chutes? I'll be there with my 900 turbo and would like to see how the 2 stroke turbo does against some of the 4 strokes at the same boost. (12#).

MCX nitro? Ride the same sled 3 years in a row! I'm going to be on the same sled again next year and the only cost will be new bearings on drive and jack shaft. Expensive to build yes but reasonable (kinda) if you keep it for 3-4 yrs.

As for the big yamafest chuteout! Looking forward to hanging out with the boys! Should be a great time.

So tell me, is 2 stroke turbo going to be able to take a poke at some of those chutes? I'll be there with my 900 turbo and would like to see how the 2 stroke turbo does against some of the 4 strokes at the same boost. (12#).

From what I have seen on you-tube a well setup 2 stroke (like the twisted turbo on the cats) work really well. I don' think they will keep up to the all out power of the 4 stroke but I think much easier to throw around(from the guys who have switched already) Still be nice to hear some reports on the new nytro

Render insists that you don't touch his ears, he says he knows what he is doing...... They were handing them out at the BIS Rossy. You might have to be a certain height to get one....J/K...Kinda like the carnival rides. If i don't make it to Yammyfest you can have my card.

Plan is to drive Thursday, ride Friday and Saturday, drive Sunday. If the report is looking goooooooooooood we might drive 1/2 way Wednesday night, get in a late ride Thursday.

As with the rest of this winter, it all depends on the snow reports!
