Wheely king RC truck

Looking for a moderate quality RC truck for my kid and I to blast around with
Is this unit worth it?, I can get one at cost around a couple hun or so
And has anyone done the rock crawler mod to it?

It's hard to go wrong with either a T-maxx or an E-maxx! They are a great truck, dependable, and the aftermarket industry is wide open for them! I like the gas trucks better, I messed around with electrics, but they end up being more expensive and are anything but plug'n play. However, electrics do make a better rock-crawler, give and takes. Fuel is expensive, I buy mine at $30 a gallon, but a gallon will last me all summer. You should actually check your pawn shops, I know they are used, but I bought my last truck(team Assoc. RC10GT) for $50! COMPLETE! And alot of used trucks have good mods done to them, alum. arms, better shocks, better radios, upgraded motors. They are a ton of fun!

if your going electric i would sat the axial AX10 is an amazing truck as well as the TLT if your wanting to go nitro ( i wouldent suggest it for a new commer to r/c ) the t-maxx or the savage are your best bet, i would say the savage over the t-maxx any day, i had a t-maxx and it was a tough little bugger but i had about 1500 into it and went through 2 motors in 3 years. with a rebuild on each before the crank siezed. the savage uses a stronger frame style with the TVP system great for jumping and beating the hell out of it they love abuse and keep on ticking.

this is anchormans son, and ive gotten big into this stuff, and i have an axial ax10 crawler of my own. it is packed with huge power and it was able to pull my buddy on a little tikes car on chip seal. if you want speed and suspension for jumping and stuff i would suggest a used traxxas slash or slayer depending on the type of fuel you want to run it on. they are what im going for myself and highly consider them. if youre going to start off in nitro, get a tough t maxx with aluminum stuff so you dont break it too often, and if you want to start in eletric, look up the kyosho mini inferno, i have one of my own with a custom made top and battery pack and still love it although ive upgraded scence then. i bought mine for a steal at about $75

Depends on what you want to do? If your just going to tear around your yard i would say a tmaxx or revo. How old is your son? Might want to start with electric if he is younger. With nitro it is like a mod sled you have to tune them constently. The rock crawlers aren't very fast they are built for low end torque for rock crawling, thats about all they would be fun for.

Thanks' guys, Electric is what I want
I was looking at the wheely king because there are a ton of thing's you can do to it
Locker's, 55 turn motor, longer wheelbase
Kinda want a rockcrawler

I got my son a Wheely King. It's a blast to drive. I put in the 4x4 kit, 27T motor, better battery, wheelie bars and all sorts of billet front end stuff (you'll find out why if you buy one and use it when he's not around ;))

I would buy it again without question. However, don't try and jump ditches with open water. It's not quite that fast. LOL
