What's your sled history?

1972 Polaris Charger

1979 Arctic Cat Eltigre 5000 440

1993 XLT Special

1997 XC600 133.5" x 1.5" snow check

1999 700 SKS

2003 Tison chassis with DIY 1200 watercraft.

2004 Polaris ProX with 1200 wc

2005 M7 BB 800

2012 Pro (next week)

5-8 Polaris Indy lite 340
8-10 Polaris Super sport 488
10-13 Polaris XC 600 (mod)
13-16 Dragon 700
16-17 Dragon 800 (blew up, imagine that)
17-18 Pro RMK 800, (first sled bought on my own)

Both of my grandpa's had sleds when I was younger. One had a set of John Deere Trailfire 440's. Early '80s vintage i think and consecutive vin numbers w/ matching John Deere trailer. He still has them and I keep thinking how awesome they would be in a vintage section at the snowmobile expo. The other had an '87 ski doo electra 377 and a 1990 safari 440. Rolled one of those down a hill and got attacked by a moose on the other. In my teens I ended up with a sweet mountain max that i rode to a gazillion miles and now I've got an '06 m7 mod.

It absolutely blows my mind to look at the old sleds next to the new ones and see how far snowmobile technology has come.

I'm a youngn'

It all started in 2003 when my brother talked my dad into buying me a sled.

It was a 1996 Cat ZRT... Rode that for 2 years then got a 2002 RMK 900.
The next sled was a 2005 900 RMK.
After that was a 2000 Dragon.

Then I realized 2-strokes blow up pretty regularly and bought a 2010 Impulse Nytro. Sledding is the best!
See your problem isn't the fact that they're 2-strokes, It's the fact that they're all Polar-***'s.

95 puma 340 for a week, 86?? Prowler 440 liquid cause puma was too slow. 2000 xc 700, 2003 edge x 600 after year 1 changed to 136, 2008 rmk 700 155, 2014 pro rmk 163.

My 2000 xc 700 i was about 14-15, put a riser on it and threw the transfer blocks away. My dad and his friends were like, handles like crap! Yah but it would float across the fields and wheely down hills and not nose dive, like a short mountain sled! Did the same to my edge x and natural progression went the full blown mountain sled route.
