Alright lately i'v been going into limp mode every few mins while driving after 100miles of installing my fix kit. So i ordered a PCV and while i'm waiting i figured i'd do some research on the net. I came across a post from dynotech research talking about slowly opening valves causing lean conditions in the midrange. So after i finished reading this i went to remove the valves to see if they might be sticking and came across the hose that comes from the solonoid, that dumps into the nose of the belly pan. when trying to figure out were it went i hauled it out of a chunk of ice and realized it was clogged with ice. After taking it out and running hot water threw it and reinstalling i went for a test ride and seemed to run alot better and never went into limp mode till i was on a long stretch and held it at 6800-7000rpm and started slowly on and off the gas and it went into limp mode. But it seems to be fine compared to the way it was acting before , sorry for such a long post but whats your opinion on this?

a lot of people actually plug their exhaust valves before the solenoid on purpose. i have done it as well and haven't gone into limp mode, though i do idle a little rougher than before. that right ski does a nice dance all by itself. i'm told those with the fix kit don't have that dance anymore.

i'm no mechanic but you may want to make sure some electrical connection or O2 sensor (on the pipe) didn't vibrate out. they may not have been put back as tight as they were before.

i heard of people plugging them off before the solonoid but just thinking if it was plugged off after solonoid maybe it might act different, as some type of restriction or lag?

Food for thought:
1. PMS told me to plug it with a ear plug at the valve. I did and no problems.
2. What map are you running PMS Says 08 Flash
3. That RPM range is very lean.
4. Did you recheck your antifreeze- also did you see big spikes in temp?

I have the April 2010 flash, coolant level hasnt changed, and no spikes in temp changes always 48-50 in temp. i took apart my valves today and completely cleaned everything i could, including hoses and seemed to run fine for the 20km run i give it no limp mode. maybe its just the time of the month for my sled? Cant wait to recieve my pipe , head and pcv w/auto tune to install a safe map and see if it continues. wish i had to keep my 02 rmk 700 maybe best sled i ever owned
