What's with "nightriders"?

Sounds like Ollie and Anti-hero are to cool for groomers or any other rider! Its people like them that make sites like this suck for those just wanting good info and to talk about snowmobiling..

I have only been on here a few days and I'm already sick of the I'm to cool for everyone comments and guys like those two trying to start crap all the time.. Hey quit hiding behind your computer playing tough guy, and go ride! That is if you even know how.. Maybe your just all talk! Must be look how many posts you have.. Either way I'm sure you both will go off on me.. But I don't care, I'm a bigger man then you and your both not worth my time.

I just wanted to speak my 2 cents and be done!!

So where is the next storm coming in at? SNOW BABY SNOW !!:D

To start with, the OP wasn't "just wanting good info and to talk about snowmobiling"....he came on here SPECIFICALLY to call out the night riders and condemn them. It's like a teacher that thinks they are the reason the kids are at school....the groomers are there FOR the sledders, not the other way around. There's a better way to have done it, but he chose to do it that way.

Second, you are contradicting yourself by defending the OP. You say "quit hiding behind your computer playing tough guy, and go ride!", but that's EXACTLY what the OP is bashing, people RIDING!! Sure, they are riding at night, but is that illegal?? Nope, it isn't!

I suggest that you spend a few more "days" on here before bashing those who have proven their support of our sport......

Night rides are some of the best rides a person can do.

The darker the night, the better (so long as you know where you are). You feel like you are isolated, alone, out there with nothing but your headlight and a helmet light. Just floating through the darkness, floating over the powder, sliding blindly through the clouds of powder the lights can't penetrate.

Its invigorating and relaxing all at the same time, the only thing you need to think about on a night ride is yourself.

No packed warming huts, no hotrods on the trails, no jackasses in the fields not paying attention to other people passing through. Just you, your sled, and your riding partner...

I couldn't care less about rought trails, some people just have to b!tch about everything.

you know, the other cool thing about night rides and early morning rides?

Its riding several feet of powder ON THE TRAIL. No worries about taking out noobs on a night ride and getting them lost that way.

Ollie knows what I'm talking about...

I started it because I wanted to know what was so fun about night riding, I really dont get it? And to tell sledders who didnt know that riding behind a groomer is a waste of money.

Riding at night is not illegal, but it is very dumb. Most people seem to do it drunk, and you you can't agrue that because most sledders brag about it. And if something does happen, it can be very cold.

Thats how I feel, THATS HOW I DID IT. Get off your high horse Butta

Just because in your experience "most" do it drunk, doesn't mean that is the case. The attention whores, the ones that brag about doing retarded crap, are the ones you hear the most. Therefore, you are going to hear "most" of them say they do night rides drunk. I have only ever come across one night rider that was drunk, the vast majority of them that you talk to on the trail are sober and know fully well the risk they take riding at night.

As for the risk, there isn't much more then riding at day. The only risk that is greater is the risk of getting lost. Its going to be cold, but its freaking WINTER, of course its going to be cold.

If you ride without the gear to keep your @ss alive, you deserve whats coming for you...

I'm not sick of Snowest. I love this site.. If you would pull your head out of your azz you would have read that I was sick of you guys like you hiding behind your computers playing tough guy and starting crap with everyone.

I'm sick of guys like you on this forum.. Maybe you should take your own advice! ;)

ya know. There is only one guy other than you that I can honestly say is a way off base.

You haven't a clue what you are talking about.
Anti-hero and I have put loads into this site and you come on here in 4 whopping posts and your first thing is to start chit.
You say you "Love" this site and then get all but hurt when we poke fun at a post. Get over yourself.
I have a few thousand posts just because of the conversations I have been in. The problems we have brain stormed over the years. What have you done?
oh yea, nothing.

We have taken noobs out and shown them how to sled.
We have pulled busted sleds in, from people that we didn't even know.
we have given people coordinates of places to go and areas to check out.
We have given people parts so they could get their sleds back up and going. Heck, I even shipped parts all over the US at my own expense.
What have you done?
Oh yea, started chit.

Bottom line, you have no clue what this site is about or the people that have made it what it is.

So go right ahead and pat yourself on the back.
Then get a clue and get over yourself. If you can't come in here with a sense of humor and relax, then please, go someplace else.

A question was asked, we answered.

Anti-hero was actually defending monkey spank when he turned right around and blasted Anti-hero.

So I gave him a little jab.
Deal with it.

Oh, one other thing.
How many times have you taken the time to personally write a letter to the state of wyoming telling them how much you appriciate the groomer operators and the improvements that they have made to the grooming program at the snowies?

I know for a fact both Anti-hero and I have done that on a couple occasions.

But hey, you already know everything.
You have been on here "a few days".

Again who started the $h!t? Hiding behind the computer, we are all behind a computer, so is everyone hiding? you sir are a moron, but hey reply and it could be your 5th post!!!!!

I'm a bigger man then you and your both not worth my time.

bigger man-gina for sure! as for riding think of it like posts that you would have something to give to the forum, you have 4 things to give to the forum, Ollie has like 8000 and i have like 2000. And like the thread sums up people enjoy night riding, is it a crime, NO. do we go night riding to mess up the groomers work, NO. Does the groomer have to deal with tracks on fresh groomed trails yes, but I would guess that is part of the job. Do we think the groomers are great YES. are some better than other YES, Ray was the best by far!

Nice going Ollie!! Did you spank your monkey until it turned black and green?? I'll probably lose some rep for that!! But that chit is funny!!! Are you going to invite them to be your friends??

If that's what your original intent was, you missed. You came off as a grumpy sno cat driver that however prideful of the grooming job you do lacks tact and a sense of who those groomed trails serve....consider it job security, we screw up the trails just so you can have a job grooming them....

OR, you can eliminate the bashing of the "drunken nightriders" (because hey, if you're that "stupid" to ride at night you have to be drunk --right?) and actually communicate your message with tact and courtesy in a professional manner.....and that's NOT how you did it.

I appreciate a smooth trail not because it's fun, but because it expedites me getting OFF trail. Trails suck, IMO. Trails with 2' of fresh aren't trails. :)

Good idea.. I will be riding Wed and Thur. this week and maybe again on sun. And then next week a bunch of my computer geeks will join me for a 3 day trip starting Wed. We will be in the Sierras, and the Snowys. Hope to see you there!!:D
