Whats this trailer worth?

Debating buying an enclosed trailer. Most likely moving in the near future and figured it would be handy for that.

I would like to stay with a two or 3 place enclosed.

I have an 03 Cummins but just really don't want to drag around a 30 ft enclosed four place.

Anyways, there is a brand new 08 Haulmark 19' (14' plus 5' V) with nothing special, steel wheels, normal front door, white, etc. for $7300.

Seems high to me for a 2 year old trailer.

Saw a much better deal on a 2010 in Wyoming for $300 more with the bigger front door and nicer wheels.

However I'm interested to see if this dealer would take some lower offers.

What do you guys think that trailer is worth?

hey buddy i was in the same situation as you didn't want a big trailer but when i bougt mine and noticed how light it really is i was way happy i bought it. I would also go big because of resale cuz people will be looking for a 4 place rather than a big 2-3 place. Let me know cuz i know where 2 haulmarks are and they are 26' trailers for cheap. hope this helps.

I also agree that you should go bigger. i bought an 06 28ft(22+6) haulmark for less than $5000. You hardly notice the length and I think resale would be much higher. The guy out in three forks seems a little high but seems to come down a lot when you talk to him. He'll also take trades if you have a 2 place or other trailer you're trying to get rid of.

I appreciate the info but I am moving to Washington and do not want to drag a 30 ft trailer through Tacoma. 19' would be fine and I can carry 4 quads or 3 sleds.

I am debating a Mirage X box two place or even a Triton clamshell. Although I would much rather have a normal v nose enclosed.

You can't beat mirage man. They are built good and the name will help on resale down the road.

compare

go to racingjunk.com you will find lots of trailers there to compare to. Maybe not as many small ones.

I paid $5600 for a brand new 20' TNT in Utah. Big Bubbas Trailer Sales in Ogden Utah. They also had some 16' for $4995. This was last year, but they were the best deal i found.

We just picked up a holdover early '09 for 6K. Its a 28' Pace American. It was new, with some factory upgrades like two man doors, 3/8 ply (walls only) under the white paneling, 10K GTW, (5K# axles) and what they call the extra height, plus a few other goodies.

My wife and I are tall, so I didn't want the low ceiling of the x-box. Our trailer MSRP was quoted at $11K, but i sure wouldn't have paid that for it, but at $6K, it was worth the $$.

I was initially looking at new, but from what I found, it was like $500 more to get a new than a used, and with the used, I'd have to go through everything (bearings, brakes, lights) to make sure everything worked, and was up to standard. So, with that close of a price, I went new.

PM me if you have any questions,
