What's the wire glued to the bumper?

There is a small wire going to a small (something electrical) part and it is glued to the front bumper, what is it??? Changing out that piece of crap for a decent one and I just zip tied that to a hole in the nose.

That bumper is a huge POS, how did they ever expect that thing to survive a bump to anything outside of a showroom?

I am pretty sure that is your thermometer. I had to move mine when I put my Skinz bumper on and I just riveted it up in the shock-tower so it was out of the way and protected. It does read a few degrees warmer not having direct fresh air blowing on it, but its close enough for me.
