last fall I seen a link on here like a snowtell but it was for what they thought the winter would be like heavy light or normal snow fall. I would have done a serch on it but i cant remember what it was called. Does anyone have a clue what im talken about?

Don't think too much about it. Last year not one place predicted great snowfall all the way into April and May and it took place. Just think it's going to be decent and all will work out one way or another.

Intermountain region of rockies to the west
Winter will be much colder and drier than normal, on average, with snowfall above normal in the north and below normal in the south. The coldest temperatures will occur in late December; early, mid-, and late January; and early February. The snowiest periods will be in mid-November, early and mid-December, mid- and late January, and late February.
Pacific Northwest
Winter temperatures will be about one-half degree above normal, on average, with above-normal rainfall in the north and below-normal rainfall in the south. The coldest periods will be in mid- and late November, early December, and mid-January. The snowiest periods will be in mid-November and mid-January
This is predicded by the Farmers Almanac
http://www.almanac.com/weatherforecast/us

The almanac is at odds with the National Weather Service, whose trends-based outlook calls for warmer than normal weather this winter over much of the country
What a shocker. Around here the NWS can't predict yesterdays weather.

No chit !! I want to be a weather man ! what other job could you screw up 75% of the time and still be employed!;)

75% of the time u must have good weather people. there they can't even predict the weather hear 1 hr. out. if you don't like the weather just wait it will start snowing. my problem is I cant wait new sled is here.

if im correct the farmers almanac called for a shi* winter where i live and we had sledders paradise! so im not going to belive anything it says and hope for something like we had last year.

Coolest summer here in Alaska ever, at least since I can remember. :) From what I have learned looks like another great year for snow, maybe not as much as last winter but it will fall plenty.

its been cool here to this summer it never hit a hundered and we usualy go threw that for a week in july and most of aug, im hopen for a mild summer and a very hard winter we actualy neeed the mostiure around here what other better way to get it that to have a lot of snow.

I'm betting that it will be "cold". My guess is supported by physics. Apparantly we are further away from the furnace during "winter". I proved that theory when I guessed it would be "hot" during last "summer". And not shockingly IT WAS! {WEIRD}:D

Yep usually very hot in August but not this year here in Los Angeles.

I realy like the idea of a BIG dumping in November.

f bomb that was a good one why dont you get a job with the nws you could make alot of money there with your special talent hahahaha thats good i like that
