Not sure on compression but according to AmSnow they make about 8hp LESS than the 600SDI. They have about the same hp as the 500ss, which is actually the older 600.

When I picked up the wife's new X 154 600 E-Tec the dealer told me 130 HP, I think he's wrong. I had always heard that it made 120 HP, same as the 600 sdi motor. Why doesn't Doo just list the HP ratings of all the sleds in the owners manual?
Only got 30 miles on the sled so far, I think it's going to be a keeper.

could you do a compression test on your sled. I'm thinking of buying one for my wife. My 800 has 160# at 1000' ele. My wifes current 600 ho has about 130+ at 1000' ele. This compression at Dubios makes the 600 a real dud!
