i got a 04 900 151 MC, my track is worse for ware, what track is the best to replace it with, i think my track now is a maverick

Challenger extreme unless you want to change your drives to 3 pitch, then choose a power claw 153" for powder riding or challenger extreme for going straight up the big ones on firmer snow. You have 2.52 pitch drivers.

Either the CLAW or the extreme. Just depends on your snow conditions. If you ride light fluffy powder most of the year get the claw. If not get the extreme. Or a take off challenger from a m8 or m1000. those are good 2.25 in paddle tracks.

drivers

where would be a good placed to get them. Is a stock KK 3" drivers. I get all AC parts at cost, so if i can use AC parts its all that much cheaper

Polaris Series IV 159" x 2.4" x 2.52" pitch. Easy install and I am willing to put it up against any of the ones mentioned!!

My friend had one under a turbo poo that did nothing but trench he has a PC now it loves it. Why do you think it would beat the PC.

Yeah, and don't worry about the outside wheels. Just get the 2 inside drivers and go with that.

Trench, are you kidding me?? I beat up on 2010 M8's all last year with PC's. I would say if it trenched, it was setup. I can make any track trench or not trench. And I am not saying the PC is not a bad track, just saying he can do the Polaris track for $400, PC will be more like $600-$700.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Maverick is a 3" pitch track, which would mean that he wouldn't have to change the drivers and he is good to go if he picks a PC or a CE.

What sled do you have it on, is it a turbo. His skid was setup many different ways.

No, it is on an '03 900 151", similar to what the guy has that started the post. But I have several friends running this track on big bores with same results as me.

all joking aside, I would like to see this track out perform a PC, but for now I can't get my head around it, I completely agree that setup has a lot to do with it.

I didn't say it was the best always, but I do think it is better the majority of the time. i definitely think it is the best all around track out there. Would put the PC or Camo Extremes close seconds.

best track

i would like to go 16 wide if i got a new one, thats why i thought of a new take of skidont track. my sled is a 151 now, i have alot of ajustment left, i was thinkin of goin with the 154 just to gain a couple. im not worried about the driver cost so gettin new ones isnt that big of a deal. if i have to worrie about 2 or 300 $ then ill should just stay on the porch and watch.

Well hell, if money is no object, 174" x 2.5" all the way!! 16" wides in the shorter length make the sled want to come over backwards, I prefer a little longer in 15" wide, handling is better as well.

I've heard claims that those with 16x151 work awesome. But I have also seen a maverick removed from a TApex and a 08 162 skid with the PC just dominate the hell out of other equal Tapex's. So a heavier sled with better results.
